Dr. Piovarci is a graduate of the Medical Faculty of Comenius University. He has the I. and II. specialization examination in ophthalmology (year  2003, year 2007). He has worked at the Faculty Hospital Bratislava at the Eye Clinic  of the Slovak Medical University since 2001. After that, he has been working at the Hospital and Polyclinic Medissimo as the main ophthalmologist and main ophthalmic surgeon since 2009.                                                                          

The primary physician Piovarci is a member of the Czech Vitreoretinal Society and is active as a lecturer in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Slovak Medical University                                                                 Professional experience and skills:

?Dr. Piovarci is the first slovak ophthalmic surgeon performing the following procedures:

• first laser surgeries of cataract using the femtosecond laser LenSx®         
• multiple implantations of the phakic lenses ICL and Cachet                        
• broad usage of multifocal lenses                                                                

At the eye clinic NeoVízia Bratislava and NeoVize Brno, he mostly performs         surgeries of the anterior and posterior eye segment, surgeries of cataract,           surgeries PRELEX and CLE and implantations of phakic eye lenses ICL, as well as vitreoctomies. In the field of refractive errors he diagnoses refractive errors and performs laser surgeries with the methods NeoLasik and NeoLasik HD, using the femtosecond laser, PRK and LASEK. He also diagnoses and treats keratoconus and performs implantations of corneal rings- ICRS and CXL surgeries. In diagnostics, his specialties entail diseases of the retina, macula, diagnostics using the OCT machine (OCT TZN and macula), and he performs SLT (selective laser trabeculoplasty), LI (laser iridotomy), YAG (YAG capsulotomy), ALK (argon laser coagulation), FAG (fluorescein angiography) and ultrasonography (USG).

He has completed a number of courses and internships at home and abroad. He is a member of the Czech Ophthalmic Society, the Czech Society of Refractive and Cataract Surgery and the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ESCRS).                                                                                             

Dr. Adriana Smorádková has been working at the eye clinic NeoVízia since the year 2010. She was born in the year 1971 in Zlaté Moravce. Študovala na gymnáziu Eugena Gudernu v Nitre.                                                                   

She graduated from the Medical Faculty of Comenius University, Department of General Medicine and finished her studies with a state examination in June 1995. In the year 2000, she received a first- grade attestation in ophthalmology from the  Department of ophthalmology. In the year 2006, she completed her specialization in the field of ophthalmology according to the EU at the Slovak Medical University / Faculty of Medical Specialist Studies / Department of ophthalmology.                    
                                                                                                        She has been working at the ophthalmic department of the Hospital and Polyclinic Ružinov in Bratislava. From the year 2002 until the year 2006 she has been working as an independent ambulatory doctor in an ophthalmic practice of the PZC Slovnaft a.s. In the years 2006- 2009, she has worked externally for the companies Euromedix, a.s and ProCare, a.s. As an outpatient ophthalmologist. From the year 2009 until the year 2010 she worked for the company LaSalus a.s. As an independent ophthalmologist and as a  professional supervisor for the company, which was focused on the provision of working and medical services. She has completed internships at the Ophthalmic clinic of the Children´s Faculty Hospital and Polyclinic in Bratislava and the Ophthalmic clinic SPAM in Bratislava.                

Furthermore, she attended to the following activities:                                        

1) work as a consultant for the Glaucoma line (2000), cooperation during the „Glaucoma tour 2001", the elaboration of reviews for the State Institute for Drug Control                                                                                                                      
2) participation in the competition for a professional prize for scientific and research activities in the area of the dry eye syndrome „Sicca research 2005“
3) mastering the operation of a special device used for the diagnostics of glaucoma - HRT II                                                                                                 
4) the training of medical nurses and rescue workers/ paramedics at the Secondary medical school                                                                                  
5) the cooperation on the publishing of the Ophthalmic magasine- a magasine for patients                       
                                                                                                             She holds the Certificate for the application of contact lenses (2002).                   

At the ophthalmic clinic she focuses on the diagnostics and treatment of glaucoma, diagnostics with the help of the OCT machine ( OCT TZN and macula), performs SLT (selective laser trabeculoplasty), LI (laser iridotomy) and in the area of cataract, she performs YAG (YAG capsulotomy). In the area of refractive errors, she focuses on diagnostics and performs laser surgeries with the methods NeoLASIK Basic,  NeoLASIK HD,  PRK and LASEK. She also focuses on the diagnostics and treatment of keratoconus, performs CXL- surgeries and implantations of corneal rings (kerarings) with the help of a femtosecond laser. She also performs small surgical procedures of the eyelids.                                  

Dr. Adriana Smorádková and Dr. Miriam Záhorcová are the first Slovak physicians, who performed an ophthalmic surgery with the help of a femtosecond laser. She has attended a number of conventions and training courses in Slovakia and abroad. She holds the certificates for Lasik, Femtolasik and the implantations of kerarings. She is a member of the Slovak Medical Association and the Slovak Ophthalmologic Society.

Dr. Miriam Záhorcová has been working at the ophthalmic clinic NeoVízia since January 2011. She was born in the year 1974 in Košice.                                            

She graduated from the  Medical Faculty of the Comenius University in Bratislava,  Department of General Medicine and finished her studies with a state examination in June 1999. In the year 2002,  she received a first- grade attestation in ophthalmology from the  Department of ophthalmology from the Slovak Medical University. In the year 2009, she completed her specialization in the field of ophthalmology according to the EU at the Slovak Medical University / Faculty of Medical Specialist Studies / Department of ophthalmology.                                                                                    

She has been working at the ophthalmic department of the Hospital and Polyclinic Ružinov in Bratislava as a secondary physician since the year 1999. In the years 2006- 2009 she also worked part- time at the Ophthalmic Center of Dr. Böhm in Bratislava. She enriched her professional experiences by working at the optician shop Svetlo in Bratislava for several years.  Since January 2008, two medical centers in Bratislava merged and MUDr. Záhorcová worked at the Ophthalmology Clinic of the Medical Faculty of the Comenius University and the University Hospital Bratislava in Bratislava- Ružinov. MUDr. Záhorcová holds a Certificate for the application of contact lenses (2002). In the year 2008, she attended the professional training „Salzburg Weill Cornell Seminar in Ophthalmology“, which was led by professionals from the United States and from Austria. In the year 2010, she attended the professional training in the area of ultrasound ophthalmic diagnostics „Annual Course and Workshop for Standardized Ophthalmic Echography“, which was led by the world-renowned prof. Dr. Karl C. Ossoinig. She attended a number of conventions and professional trainings in Slovakia and abroad, and she was a co- author of several publications.                                    

She focuses on the treatment of glaucoma and performs  LI (laser iridotomy), but also focuses on the treatment of cataract and performs YAG (YAG capsulotomy). In the area of refractive errors, she focuses on diagnostics and performs laser surgeries with the methods NeoLASIK Basic,  NeoLASIK HD,  PRK and LASEK. She also focuses on the diagnostics of ophthalmic disorders with the help of USG (ultrasound).                                                                                                                                                                            
Dr. Miriam Záhorcová  and Dr. Adriana Smorádková are the first Slovak physicians, who performed an ophthalmic surgery with the help of a femtosecond laser. She is a member of the Slovak Medical Association and the Slovak Ophthalmologic Society.                                                                                     

Dr. Petra Schreinerová has been working at the ophthalmic clinic NeoVízia since January 1st, 2012.       

She graduated from the  Medical Faculty of the Comenius University in Bratislava,  Department of General Medicine and finished her studies with a state examination in June 1998. In the year 2001, she received a first- grade attestation in ophthalmology from the  Department of ophthalmology from the Slovak Medical University. In the year 2005, she completed her specialization in the field of ophthalmology according to the EU at the Slovak Medical University / Faculty of Medical Specialist Studies / Department of ophthalmology.                                                                              

In the years 1998 – 2008, she worked at the Ophthalmic clinic of the Medical Faculty of the Comenius University and University Hospital in Bratislava as a secondary physician. After two medical centers merged, she continued to work at the Clinic of ophthalmology at the University Hospital Bratislava from the year 2008 until the year 2011.                                                                                        

In the year 1999, she completed the training course of the ophthalmic ultrasonografy.                                                                                                     

In the year 2000, she completed the Tübingen training course in retinal detachment under the supervision of Prof. Kreisig from  Tübingen.                    

In the year 2001, she completed a Summer course of the English language for physicians under the supervision of  foreign lecturers.                                      

In the year 2002, she completed the Training course of standardized echography in ophthalmology under the supervision of the founder of this method,  prof. Dr. Karl Ossoinig.                                                                                                    

In the years 2004 and 2007, she completed the professional seminars of Ophthalmology, organized by the  Salzburg University and the Weill Cornell University in the United States.                                                                           

In the year  2001, she completed a month- long internship at the specialized Ophthalmic hospital in Stockholm, Sweden. During the same year, she completed a month- long internship at the Ophthalmic clinic of the University Hospital in Regensburg, Germany. In the year 2009, she completed a month- long internship at the Ophthalmic clinic of the University Hospital in Salzburg and in the year 2010, she completed a month- long professional internship in neuroophthalmology at the Ophthalmic clinic in Prague, Czech Republic. 
She holds a certificate for the application of  botulotoxin.                                   

She is the author and co- author of several lectures, the co- author of several publications and has attended a number of ophthalmic conventions in Slovakia and abroad.                                                                                                         

She has actively participated in several lectures, symposia and conventions in Slovakia and abroad, that were specialized in the area of neuroophthalmology.

At NeoVízia, she focuses on complex ophthalmic diagnostics. She is a specialist in neuroophthalmology, ultrasound diagnostics of the eye and diagnostics with the help of OCT (optic coherent tomography).                                                              

She is a member of the Slovak Medical Association and the Slovak Ophthalmologic Society.                                                                                                                          

She has been working at the Ophthalmic clinic  NeoVízia since September 1st, 2013.                                                                                              

Dr. Sokolová graduated from the  Medical Faculty of the Comenius University in Bratislava (1988), Department of General Medicine. In the year 1994, she received a first- grade attestation, and a second- grade attestation in the year 2006 in ophthalmology from the  Department of ophthalmology from the Slovak Medical University.

Since the year 1998, she has been working at the Ophthalmic clinic of the Medical Faculty of the Comenius University Hospital and Polyclinic of the academy of L. Dérer, at the Ophthalmic clinic of the Slovak Medical University and later at the Ophthalmic Center of Dr. Böhm (2009-2013).  She has worked as an ophthalmologist in the optician shop IOKO, an outpatient ophthalmologist MO  (2003-2005), an ophthalmologist in a private laser refractive center. Since the year 2007, she has been working as a professional supervisor in the area of ophthalmology at the medical center   Medi-AS Stupava. She has worked in a clinical practice with a focus on consilliary activities and lectures with

cross-industry topics, on neuroophthalmology and inflammatory diseases. 

She completed the training course „New trends in microsurgery of the anterior and posterior segment of the eye“, seminars with a focus on the „dry eye syndrome and glaucoma“, the training course OCT (retina and optic nerve), the training course of the application of botulotoxin (aesthetic medicine). She holds a certificate for the application of contact lenses. She has led independent courses on ultrasonography as a part of the pre- attestation preparation of physicians. She devotes herself to publishing activities with a focus on the sonography of the eye, A, B scan, UBM. She is a co- author of lecturing activities on the topic of OCT and the usage in ophthalmology. She is a member of the Slovak Medical Association and the Slovak Ophthalmologic Society.

She focuses on the diagnostics of refractive errors, diseases of the retina, diagnostics with the help of OCT and the fundus camera, diagnostics of the anterior segment of the eye, tratment of inflammatory diseases of the eye, the treatment of glaucoma and neuroophthalmology.

She is a professional consilliary physician in the so- called cross-industry collaboration- she focuses on the diagnostics of ophthalmic disorders, which are a sign or a result of another systemic disease (hematological, neurological, cardiovascular diseases, rheumatological, immunological).

She has performed surgeries of astigmatism, assisted on intraocular surgeries, independently performed laser surgeries -  NdYAG capsulotomy, SLT, extraocular surgeries, blefaroplastic surgeries.
