ReLEx SMILE, femtoLASIK

ReLEx SMILE: A new ‘flap-less’, bladeless, painless, small-cut procedure. SMILE presents the next generation in laser eye surgery. This minimally-invasive procedure is performed uniquely by the femtosecond laser VisuMAX. ReLEx SMILE does not require the use of the excimer laser radiation. The strength and stability of cornea is not compromised during the procedure. SMILE is even suitable for many patients with thinner corneas, drier eyes or contact lens intolerance.

femtoLASIK: The femtosecond laser removes refractive errors without the use of any sharp instruments. A safe and comfortable method. Only the best for your eyes. The basis for the work of the excimer laser during the surgical procedure is a digital map of the eye.

from 470 €

PRK - Photorefractive Keratectomy

PRK (potorefractive keratectomy) is surface laser treatment without protective layer in the form of corneal flap. The healing excimer laser works in PRK on the basis of dioptric expression of the disorder. PRK is the oldest laser treatment method which has been validated in millions of satisfied patients. LASEK as well as epiLASIK and ASA are names used for technical modifications of PRK. PRK/LASEK is a method suitable for patient for whom price is the most important factor. But PRK is suitable only for low myopic prescriptions. PRK/LASEK is not suitable for plus disorders (long-sightedness), astigmatism and rapidly progressive disorders. The main disadvantage is longer healing time (from 3 to 4 days) connected with a higher level of dyscomfort and the low long term stability of the results. PRK/LASEK is not suitable for plus disorders (long-sightedness), astigmatism and rapidly progressive disorders.

RAINDROP

Cataract Treatment

Cataract means reduced transparency (opacity) and hardening of the eye lens that is normally clear. Most often we experience cataract after 60 years of age. Among the risk factors for cataract occurrence are mainly age, general diseases, diabetes, using some medicines on a long-term basis, smoking and eye injury. The surgery takes place in an ambulatory setting. It takes about 10 minutes. The patient can leave home immediately after the surgery. The cloudy lens is painlessly crushed with ultrasound and drained. The eye surgeon implants new artificial AcrySof Natural yellow lens instead of it. The surgery is performed with up to 2.2 mm microincision.

The NeoVize EyeClinic provides the patients with the best that is available to the medical science, at the base price. In NeoVize - Acrysof yellow lens, Alcon protective gel and 2.2 mm microincision system are in the base price and without extra charges. At the base price and without extra charges, you will receive the same top quality as patients in the USA and other rich West European countries.

Intraocular Lenses

PRELEX or presbyopic lens exchange is non-laser surgery during which a multifocal optical element (multifocal intraocular lens) is permanently implanted in the eye. The multifocal intraocular lens replaces the original human lens whose dioptric value and ability to focus did not correspond to the dioptric condition of the eye and to the needs of the patient. PRELEX is a method suitable for patients over 40 years of age who would like to see in the distance as well as to see up close without the necessity of using glasses. Quite painlessly, PRELEX is performed in the operating theatre of the outpatient clinic and the surgery takes about 15 minutes. Acrysof ReSTORE multifocal intraocular lenses are produced by Alcon, an American company, and have been approved for use by the European Union and the USFDA. The main advantage of PRELEX is that it is possible to remove any number of diopters through this method. PRELEX is also a preventive treatment - patients after PRELEX are not at risk of cataract and the risk of paroxysmal glaucoma is substantially reduced. Therefore, PRELEX is an excellent choice for patients in which a high number of diopters is combined with familial predisposition to cataract and glaucoma. NeoVize Eye Clinic doctors have achieved long-term excellent results with RLE and PRELEX methods. The medical director of the Clinic, Dr. Josef Hycl, CSc., has been doing the surgery since 1993 and he was the first doctor in the Czech Republic to put these methods into medical practice. He has defended a scientific dissertation on the subject of RLE and been awarded the PhD. degree.

RLE - Refractive Lens Exchange

RLE or refractive lens exchange is non-laser surgery during which an optical element (intraocular lens) is permanently implanted in the eye. The intraocular lens replaces the original human lens, the dioptric value of which did not correspond to the dioptric condition of the eye. Refractive lens exchange is suitable for patients over 40 years of age with disorders beyond the scope of laser surgery. Quite painlessly, RLE is performed in the operating theatre of the outpatient clinic and the surgery takes about 15 minutes. Intraocular lenses are produced by Alcon, an American company, and have been approved for use by the European Union and the USFDA. The main advantage of RLE is that it is possible to remove any number of diopters through this method. RLE is also a preventive treatment - patients after refractive lens exchange are no more at risk of cataract and the risk of paroxysmal glaucoma is substantially reduced. Therefore, RLE is an excellent choice for patients in which a high number of diopters is combined with familial predisposition to cataract and glaucoma. To patients who would also like to get rid of reading glasses, we recommend the PRELEX method, which is refractive lens exchange completed with so-called multifocal intraocular lens implantation.
