Dr. Petra Schreinerová has been working at the ophthalmic clinic NeoVízia since January 1st, 2012.
She graduated from the Medical Faculty of the Comenius University in Bratislava, Department of General Medicine and finished her studies with a state examination in June 1998. In the year 2001, she received a first- grade attestation in ophthalmology from the Department of ophthalmology from the Slovak Medical University. In the year 2005, she completed her specialization in the field of ophthalmology according to the EU at the Slovak Medical University / Faculty of Medical Specialist Studies / Department of ophthalmology.
In the years 1998 – 2008, she worked at the Ophthalmic clinic of the Medical Faculty of the Comenius University and University Hospital in Bratislava as a secondary physician. After two medical centers merged, she continued to work at the Clinic of ophthalmology at the University Hospital Bratislava from the year 2008 until the year 2011.
In the year 1999, she completed the training course of the ophthalmic ultrasonografy.
In the year 2000, she completed the Tübingen training course in retinal detachment under the supervision of Prof. Kreisig from Tübingen.
In the year 2001, she completed a Summer course of the English language for physicians under the supervision of foreign lecturers.
In the year 2002, she completed the Training course of standardized echography in ophthalmology under the supervision of the founder of this method, prof. Dr. Karl Ossoinig.
In the years 2004 and 2007, she completed the professional seminars of Ophthalmology, organized by the Salzburg University and the Weill Cornell University in the United States.
In the year 2001, she completed a month- long internship at the specialized Ophthalmic hospital in Stockholm, Sweden. During the same year, she completed a month- long internship at the Ophthalmic clinic of the University Hospital in Regensburg, Germany. In the year 2009, she completed a month- long internship at the Ophthalmic clinic of the University Hospital in Salzburg and in the year 2010, she completed a month- long professional internship in neuroophthalmology at the Ophthalmic clinic in Prague, Czech Republic.
She holds a certificate for the application of botulotoxin.
She is the author and co- author of several lectures, the co- author of several publications and has attended a number of ophthalmic conventions in Slovakia and abroad.
She has actively participated in several lectures, symposia and conventions in Slovakia and abroad, that were specialized in the area of neuroophthalmology.
At NeoVízia, she focuses on complex ophthalmic diagnostics. She is a specialist in neuroophthalmology, ultrasound diagnostics of the eye and diagnostics with the help of OCT (optic coherent tomography).
She is a member of the Slovak Medical Association and the Slovak Ophthalmologic Society.
