Dr Lee Sao Bing graduated from medical school at the National University of Singapore. As a young doctor, he was awarded the National Medical Research Council Fellowship to pursue eye research at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in USA. During his training to be an eye specialist, he won 4 Young Investigator's Awards over 4 consecutive years. Dr Lee completed his sub-specialisation in Cornea and Refractive Surgery (LASIK) in Canada, where he trained in cataract surgery, cornea transplants and LASIK. Dr Lee has been working for the last 4 years at the National University Hospital where he served as Head, Cornea Service and LASIK Specialist in the Department of Ophthalmology. During his course of work there, he was involved in performing various eye surgeries, teaching medical students and young doctors; and performing eye research. He also has a concurrent appointment as Clinical Teacher with the National University of Singapore. He has many years of experience in LASIK with the latest treatment modalities for correcting Myopia (Short-Sightedness) and Presbyopia (Old-Sight). As a Clinical Director at Shinagawa Lasik Centre, Dr Lee is the principal surgeon in charge, with the responsibility for the overall management of the Centre.
