Dr Boecklin has been practicing medicine and integrated complementary and alternative medicine for 20 years. Her approach to health and healing is to provide patients with individually tailored health and well-being programs using the safest and most effective combination of treatments from the world of both conventional and complementary therapeutic systems such as Homeopathic Medicine, Homotoxicology, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, Acupressure, Auricular Acupuncture, Pediatric Acupuncture, Flower essence therapy, Medical Nutrition and Stress reduction techniques — all in the effort to treat the whole person and to empower patients in their journey towards long lasting self-healing.
Dr Boecklin is a graduate from University “La Sapienza” Medical School in Rome where she also obtained her Specialist qualification in Clinical Hematology. She has worked as Clinical assistant at Hammersmith Hospital, Imperial College, London in the fields of Chronic Myeloid Leukemia and Allogeneic Bone Marrow Transplantations.
Becoming soon aware of the limitation of conventional medical practice she has then decided to explore different therapeutic systems to broaden her approach to healing to one that is not based solely on the Western biomedical model, but also draws from other cultures.
She gained full Membership of the Faculty of Homeopathy and subsequently went on to studying acupuncture obtaining a Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine issued by the Chinese Medical Institute and Register and The Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and Pharmacology. She has been working as NHS Specialty Doctor at the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine (RLHIM), part of University College Hospitals since 2001. Her work at the RLHIM has been centered on a variety of clinical specialties including Woman’s health, Fertility, Complementary Cancer Care, Children’s Health, Chronic Pain Management and Addictions Management. She was responsible for a busy High-volume Acupuncture Clinic for the management of a variety of Woman Health’s conditions. Collaborates with many health care specialists including Gynecologists, Neurologists, Respiratory medicine specialists, Oncologists, Pediatricians and Pain specialists for the integrated management of various complex conditions as well as medically unexplained conditions that have responded poorly to conventional approaches.
Each consultation offers more time, more attention, and a broader approach to restoration of complete health – one that takes into account the person’s diet, environmental factors including lifestyle, toxicity and sensitivity, and their coping mechanisms towards the various factors. It also brings attention to the person’s emotional states and mental function and their physical and bodily structure. The interventions are designed to treat the illness as well as the whole person, addressing the physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual factors that influence health and disease. Dr Boecklin has also a special interest in treating Children’s and Young Adults combining homeopathic treatment with very gentle acupuncture and acupressure for the treatment of chronic painful conditions as well as recurrent upper respiratory conditions, digestive complaints, chronic headaches and behavioral issues.
