THAI YOGA MASSAGE (1 hour)
An ancient healing system comprising a combination of yoga stretches, broad and targeted acupressure work, and stimulation of energy lines called
sen. Thai yoga massage is often referred to as ‘lazy yoga’ as a massage therapist helps the receiver to perform yoga-like stretches that encourage healthy joints promoting flexibility for the entire body. Traditional Thai yoga incorporates the Buddhist practices of mindfulness (breath awareness) and loving kindness (focused compassion) bringing the treatment session to a focused and deep level.
In Thai yoga Massage, the body is compressed, pulled, stretched and rocked in order to relieve tension and clear energy blockages that cause aches, pains and disease. Thai yoga massage is a relaxing alternative to sport massage therapy, and is usually provided fully clothed on a Thai mattress with little to no use of oil. Your therapist will use thumbs, palms, forearms, elbows, knees and feet to create a dance of movement on your body to free-up joints, muscles and tendons.
As a result, internal organs are toned, nerves are calmed, and energy is re-balanced. The overall effect is one of deep relaxation, rejuvenation, physical and mental wellbeing.
