The procedure was done swiftly and efficiently

3 50 Allergy Testing

The Allergy Testing appointment I had at the Dublin Holistic Centre went very well. The procedure was done swiftly and efficiently. The price I was charged was a little expensive so that is a minor complaint I have but other than that, everything went well.

The clinic was excellent. My treatment was very good, the price left a lot to be desired but other than that it was fine, the doctors and staff were friendly and I had no trouble finding the clinic.

Felt relaxed and well after my treatment.

5 50 Hypnotherapy • Paid: €70

I suffered from depression for many years. He was approachable, explained everything that I asked, and the session was very straight forward. I felt relaxed and well afterward, and It has had a great impact on my life. I find Mr. Anders a very good professional, helpful, easy going, and most of everything, human and honest.

I attended at Mr. Anders house. I was apprehensive, but afterward I thought it was as good as. The space is nice and relaxing, and I was back for a next session which felt as good. I will be back to tackle my next rock.

Ayurvedic massage is an ancient Indian healing art which recognises that each of us is unique, each responds differently to the many aspects of life, and each possesses different strengths and weaknesses. The style and flow of Ayurvedic massage is determined by who you are and what your body needs for balance and well-being. Ayurvedic medicine is based on the theory that health exists when there is a balance between three doshas or personality types called Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Hopi Ear Candling

Hopi Ear Candling - Dublin Holistic Centre

Hopi ear candling originates from medical ceremonies performed by a Native American Indian tribe known as the Hopis-"peace people". The candle is actually a cotton tube, impregnated with beeswax, honey and therapeutic oils

Hopi ear candles act like a chimney, drawing away the vapour and any impurities from within the ear. This in turn regulates the pressure system within the ear and the head, making the candle treatment suitable for many conditions.

- It can also have a dramatic impact on stress levels as well as helping to restore hormonal imbalances.

Non-Surgical Facelift

Non-Surgical Facelift - Dublin Holistic CentreNon-Surgical Facelift - Dublin Holistic Centre
Acupuncture facelifts have even been featured in the mainstream media which studies show that among 300 cases treated with facial acupuncture, 90% had marked beneficial results with only one course of treatment. (International Journal of Clinical Acupuncture, 1996) WHAT IS COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE? Cosmetic Acupuncture is a non-surgical, holistic approach to facial rejuvenation. It goes back thousands of years and can enhance not only your physical appearance but also your overall health.Acupuncture is far less expensive, more natural, non-invasive and safer than plastic surgery or [Treatment name removed] injections and has no side effects, toxicity, inflammation, or recovery time. WHAT CAN COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE TREAT? Cosmetic Acupuncture works on improving vitality and energy and in turn, slowing down the aging process. It is suitable for those with deep wrinkles, fine lines, bags under the eyes, sagging, puffiness, drooping eyelids, double chin, large pores, dry skin or acne. WHAT HAPPENS IN A TREATMENT? As with all acupuncture treatments, your first visit is longer than your follow-up visits as it includes a question sheet and a tongue and pulse diagnosis. These are analyzed to find a treatment strategy that works best for you. Next specific acupuncture points are chosen on the face and body to tackle the underlying problem and fine needles are inserted.  Treatments last from 60-90mins. WHEN CAN I EXPECT TO SEE RESULTS? Although results can be seen from as early as the very first treatment, effects are most noticeable and lasting from the sixth session. For the Best results a course of 10-12 treatments are required. Each person responds differently.

Kinesiology

Kinesiology uses muscle bio-feedback testing to identify food and environmental sensitivities that affect energy levels and digestive system imbalances. Simply explained, it is a system based on manually testing muscle reactions to identify allergies. The substance or a homeopathic version of the substance is placed on the body, and the response of one or more muscles is assessed. This allows a whole range of substances to be rapidly checked. By testing the 50 most common sensitivities, imbalances can be identified and dietary and lifestyle changes recommended.  Kinesiology can be extremely accurate but it does depend heavily on the knowledge and skill of the practitioner and we can assure you that at the Dublin Holistic Centre our practitioners are of the highest professional standard.

Pilates

Pilates - Dublin Holistic Centre

The benefits of Pilates

The top benefits doing of Pilates exercise that people report are that they become stronger, longer, leaner, and more able to do anything with grace and ease

improvements in range of motion, flexibility, circulation, posture, and abdominal strength -- and decreases in back, neck and joint pain.

Pilates has boomed in the last two years, at the Dublin Holistic Centre.  The amount of students attending who suffer with poor posture, or back issues predominantly resulting from long term seated jobs with little movement or poor ergonomically designed desks and chairs compounded with stress has really catapulted back pain and neck pain into the main stream.

Having seen an Osteopath or Massage Therapist to ease any structural or muscular tensions etc, the next step is in strengthening core back and abdominal muscles to ensure at all times, not just at work, that your posture and core strength is engaged ALL THE TIME, naturally, thus not collapsing when seated.

Once you have completed a 6 week Beginners course, there's no holding back, you will love how much stronger your core feels, and be amazed how far you can grow and push yourselves.  There are students who are in their 50's and 60's doing our classes who easily push themselves into Plank simply by having gained core strength and stability.  DON'T BE SHY, try a Pilates class today, although the secret is in finding a GREAT teacher...

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage - Dublin Holistic CentreDeep Tissue Massage - Dublin Holistic Centre

Deep tissue massage is effective because of its technique - consisting of slower, stronger massage that stimulates deep into muscles.

It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fibers of the muscles, tendons and fascia.

In many cases, a deep tissue massage has replaced the classic Swedish massage in terms of frequency of use. Whereas visitors to any spa around the country may have traditionally sought out a massage that simply relaxed, now they are seeking a massage that also stimulates, conditions, and heals.

Lomi Lomi Massage

Lomi Lomi Massage - Dublin Holistic CentreLomi Lomi Massage - Dublin Holistic Centre

Originating in Polynesia, Lomi Lomi massage is a complete healing system aimed at restoring balance and harmony within the body, mind and spirit. Also known as Kahuna Massage or Aloha massage this form of massage uses intuitive movement, breathing, rhythm and focused intention (positive focus of course).

Lomi lomi massage has a depth to it that perhaps other massage techniques do not carry, in that Lomi also focuses in on an energetic level bringing awareness and healing to all parts of the self not just the physical ie) stress, worries, sadness - all of which can be focused on to be “massaged away” in a sense.

There is a great deal of sacred healing with Lomi Lomi which the ancient Hawaiians in particular would have passed down through the generations, Lomi Lomi is more than a massage. The practitioner uses their forearms, hands and elbows in a deep dynamic flowing rhythm which has similarities with the waves of the ocean. Rhythmic techniques and intuition are great tools of the Lomi Lomi practitioner.

Kahuna Massage is traditionally 1.5hours long and covers all systems of the body: circulatory / respiratory / lymphatic / digestive / nervous for example. The body is detoxified as the sweeping, long arm movements transfer the lymph around the body helping to clear out congestion and toxification. This massage can be both relaxing, pampering and quite deep in terms of strength depending on the clients own specification.

The intent with which Lomi Practitioners work from is another important aspect, we are conscious to bring positive energy to our clients with an “open heart “ as working with anyone’s body should always be treated with the utmost care and respect.

Aloha in Hawaii means so much more than Hello, Goodbye or even Love. It is a way of life. The same can be said for the Aloha / Lomi Lomi / Kahuna Massage…

MLD - Manual Lymphatic Drainage

MLD - Manual Lymphatic Drainage - Dublin Holistic Centre

What Is Lymphatic Drainage Therapy (Dr. Vodder)?

It is a specialised therapy, which is designed to improve the functioning of the lymphatic system. This is primarily achieved through gentle, rhythmical circling movements of the skin, which stimulate the contractions of the lymphatic vessels. Techniques are performed with hands and fingers using a light-touch, which is simulating, gentle, through a wave-like movement. The subtle manual manoeuvres activate lymph and interstitial fluid circulation as well as stimulate the functioning of the immune and parasympathetic nervous systems. A well-functioning lymph system contributes to healthy body tissue and plays an important part in the body's immune system.

Who Can Benefit From Manual Lymphatic Drainage?

Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage is recommended for pregnant women to help relieve puffy hands and legs, for sports injures such as sprains, fractures, etc., to help with slimming or cleansing diets, for people who suffer from chronic nasal congestion and much more.

What Happens In A Treatment?

Following an initial consultation where the therapist checks the client’s health and checks for any contraindications, the client will be left to get undressed in private. During the treatment the client will lie on a massage table or plinth and will be fully covered by towels, with only the body part being worked on at the time remaining exposed.

The treatment helps lift the face; smooth out fine wrinkles; helps reduce puffiness; improves skin tone; softens the skin; and relaxes the face and reduces tension. Thai Massage

Tradition Thai Massage is and ancient form of therapeutic healing. Its roots are in India where it was brought to Thailand over 2000 years ago by Ayurvedic doctors and Buddhist monks. It combines pressure, energy balancing, stretching and applied yoga exercises. Traditional Thai Foot Massage is a unique and powerful therapy. Using thumbs, hands and a wooden acupressure tool, massage is applied to the legs and feet through rubbing, kneading, stretching and vibration techniques. Pressure points are areas along the “energy lines” which are called “Sen Lines” in Thailand. By focusing on these Sen Lines, we work on Reflex or pressure points on the feet which correspond to various internal organs, through which life, energy, Prana, chi, or Ki flows. It is believed that blockages within the flow will result in pain, illness or disease. By working along the Sen Lines with pressure and by stretching the lines, blocked energy can be released and functions balanced. Tradition Thai Foot Massage can be effective in the relief of various dysfunctions and disease; but it is also a wonderful treatment to promote overall health and to provide a general sense of wellbeing, energy and revival.

THE BENEFITS OF A HOLISTIC PEDICURE AND MANICURE The benefits of a holistic pedicure and manicure include much more than just the appearance of your hands and feet. Most treatments will include exfoliation to remove dead cells, smoothing the surface and stimulating regeneration. Calluses and dead skin are removed from the feet, leaving the skin soft and healthy looking. Special cuticle treatments and moisturizers are used to hydrate the skin and nourish the nails and cuticles, providing your nails with longevity and making them stronger at the same time. The massage in a pedicure or manicure is one of the most important parts. Massaging certain spots on someone's foot or hand sends signals to other parts of the body to encourage overall health improvement anywhere in the body. Depending on the amount of pressure, the area being worked on, and the ailment of concern, you can benefit from results from stress relieve, relieve of sinus congestion to improved sleeping pattern. By using organic essential oils and natural creams/scrubs there are additional benefits above and beyond the physical. Certain scents and oils can be beneficial for improving circulation, focus, memory and mood. The smell of lime invigorates the mind, sugar excites, vanilla relaxes and lavender calms. The addition of natural scents will make your pedicure great, instead of just good. At the end of the treatment you will certainly be relaxed, feeling rejuvenated and in better health. WHAT HAPPENS IN A TREATMENT? The Treatment begins with a short consultation. This is necessary in order to establish if there are any medical reasons/contra-indications why the client may not be suited to treatment. Melanie Mondini is our ONLY practitioner currently seeing clients for Manicures and Pedicures. Choose from a wide range of colours or French paint.

Cosmetic Acupuncture

Facial Rejuvenation/Cosmetic Acupuncture is based on time-tested principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It is a painless, non-surgical, positive, holistic alternative which is somewhat of new phenomenon, but in fact goes back thousands of years and can enhance not only your physical appearance but also your overall health, reducing signs of the aging process and giving you a glow that radiates from deep within. Although this procedure is often referred to as ‘Acupuncture Facelift’, it is more than just a cosmetic procedure.

Biography:

How do you feel?

Life can be difficult. Sometimes you may feel panicked, out of control of your life - or lost and confused and not know what to do, or just what is right for you. You may feel scared or worried. Or you may have lost someone or something that you loved – and the tears won’t stop coming. You may feel abandoned or rejected. Perhaps something has happened to you in the past that is hard to come to terms with. Relationships can be difficult too - and sometimes it is hard to know what to say or do. Sometimes you may feel helpless about ever get things right. Sometimes you wonder if you will ever be happy. Or if you will ever find some peace. You feel isolated and alone, and you find it hard to struggle with all this on your own.

You may be looking for some hope in a situation that seems desperate. You may be looking for a solution or want to change. Or you may simply need to talk and for someone to listen.

At times like this, counselling and psychotherapy can be really helpful. By listening and really understanding what things are like for you, I can help you to explore the issues you struggle with, and hopefully help you find solutions and resources within you to cope better with life. I can accompany you as you explore new options and new ways of living your life and how you relate to others. I can help you to uncover patterns in your life. I believe this process can help you to reduce the pain and pressure that you may feel, help you to clarify what you want from life, address your needs and take responsibility: learning to live, risk, love, hope and engage more fully with life from a place of deeper wisdom within yourself.
