FUE - Follicular Unit Extraction

 Individual follicular units are harvested directly from the scalp. This is done using a needle less than 1 mm in diameter. This creates small micro incisions which should look imperceptible when healed.

 

FUT - Follicular Unit Transplant

The first technique is FUT grafting. Here, the entire graft is harvested from the back of the scalp. This leaves a discrete linear incision. Over the course of a day, a microscopic dissection is performed to create individual follicular unit grafts. These grafts are placed in the desired area (hairline, temples, and crown) one by one. Designing the pattern of transplantation and the orientation of each graft is the key to a natural result.
