I had a CVS procedure at 12w 5d. It wasn't as painful as I had imagined it to be and I chose to have it without local anaesthetic. It was over very quickly and our doctor was incredibly competent, I felt really reassured by him. Shortly after the procedure I felt pretty awful, nauseous and I had to lay down as I nearly passed out twice. Not a nice feeling however it does pass and I was told that it's not uncommon especially as women who are pregnant has a drop in blood pressure in the first trimester. The staff were lovely, gave me tea and biscuits and made me feel very safe and looked after.
Excellent. I would thoroughly recommend anyone considering CVS to have the procedure at LUC. The staff we're wonderful, I'm so glad that I chose to go there.
