Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University Clinical Director, The Egyptian IVF-ET Center, Maadi, Cairo, Egypt Professor Mohamed Aboulghar received his medical education in Cairo University and got his MBBCH in 1962. Shortly afterwards, he received his Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1965, then his Diploma on General Surgery in 1966 and finally his Doctorate degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1969. He did post graduate training in Denmark, Sweden and the United States. He has been Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, since 1979 up till today. He founded with his colleagues, Professor Dr. Gamal Serour and Dr. Ragaa Mansour The Egyptian IVF Canter in 1986.

M.D. Cairo University 1963; MRCOG 1970; FRCS, Edinburgh 1972; FRCOG (1990) Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Director International Islamic Center For Population Studies and Research, Al Azhar University (IICPSR),former Chairman of Obstetrics and Gynecology department and Former Dean, Faculty of Medicine, Al Azhar University. He authored and co-authored 368 papers published in international, regional and national journals and 21 chapters in international books. He edited and co- edited 16 books. He is a reviewer and member of the international Editorial Board of several International journals in Obstetrics and gynecology Human Reproduction, Infertility , population science and Ethics. He has been an invited speaker and keynote speaker national, regional and international conferences organized by ESHRE, IFFS, ASRM, FIGO, IAB and other societies of Ob/Gyn around the world. . Egyptian professional activities - Established AL Azhar Endoscopy and microsurgery training unit 1974 which in 1976 became the Al Azhar-JPIEGO (Johns Hopkins University) regional training centers for physicians from Asia and Africa. - With two of his Colleagues, he established the first IVF Center in Egypt March 1986 and delivered the first IVF baby in Egypt in July 1987. - Established the IVF unit at Al Azhar University as one of the leading public IVF Units in Egypt since 2003. As a training ART Center he organized two hands on ART training workshops in collaborating with Lubeck University. - As a chair of the Egyptian Representative Committee of the RCOG since 1999-2007 he developed a continuing education and professional development program and training courses for obstetricians and gynecologists in Egypt. - Secretary General and founder of the Egyptian Fertility and Sterility Society since 1994, organized training courses and regular annual International conference with large international contribution every year. - Member of the National Bioethics Committee since 1996. - President of Egyptian Post Menopause Society since 2003-2006

Dr. Ragaa Mansour graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, in 1973, with honors. This was followed up by completing a three-year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cairo University (1975 - 1978) during which she earned her master's degree in Ob/Gyn. She then completed her Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) Certification, in Kansas City (USA), in 1980. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship "in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer at Ohio State University, USA, 1982. In 1985, she returned back to her home country, and started the first in-vitro fertilization program in Egypt, in March 1986. She has held the position of director of The Egyptian IVF-ET Center since 1986 until the present. In February 2003, she earned her Doctoral Degree from the Department of Ob/Gyn (Ph.D.) at Maastricht University in Holland. The title of the thesis was "Optimizing IVF Results." In addition, she established the first IVF registry in Egypt in the year 1999. She held the first conference for the establishment of the Middle East IVF Registry in October 2002.
