He is eye surgeon specializing in surgery on the anterior part such as the cornea, cataract, glaucoma and eye surgery, as well as all types of correction of vision problems so called, refractive. His training includes medical studies and specialization in ophthalmology and subspecialization within the anterior segment surgery, eye surgery and refractive surgery. His experience in eye surgery dates from 1987 and has worked at Sabbatsberg Hospital, St. Erik's Hospital, Sophiahemmet and finally started and runs Novius Eye Clinic. He perform thousands of operations per year in the following areas: Cataract, Lasik surgery, lens surgery, glaucoma, eyelid surgery and has an overall surgical experience of more than 40,000 surgeries. He has regularly participated in national and international eyes meetings with the aim of further education and training. He is a member of the Swedish eye Medical Association, Medical Association, Medical Association, ASCRS (American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons), ESCRS (European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons). He has for many years been invited lecturer at many national and international meetings and invited guest surgeon in surgical sessions during these meetings. He has been a pioneer in introducing surgical techniques ICL and INTACS in the Scandinavian market and consequently possess extensive experience with these techniques. Laser surgery is another of his specialist areas and Dr. Lenis over the years has worked with nearly all generations of laser machines which provides a solid experience and knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of these high-tech products. He has participated in national and international training of surgeons in surgical techniques in cataract, ICL and LASIK surgeries.
