My mother had blurring of vision, hence we contacted the clinic by email. He answered promptly, but he explained thru his email he does not give his rates as Dr. Atienza thinks it is too impersonal to just give the rates. So, we setup an appointment in his clinic on a Wednesday, which he said it was his lightest day. We arrived at around 12:30 just around lunch time. His secretary, jenny was in the clinic, and told us he was still in surgery but he was finishing his case. He arrived in his clinic at 1pm. He examined my mothers eye and he said she has cataract which was age related. He gave us the options that surgery maybe warranted to improve her vision, but is not an emergency. He also discussed the intra ocular lenses which we can choose from. Since my mom has difficulty with her hobby, we decided to have cataract surgery. He took care of the requirement of the health insurance and scheduled her in 3 days for her left eye. At the day of the surgery, we were in the hospital in the morning, at around 830am, with her schedule at 10am. Dr. Atienza said the surgery will take around 10 minutes, my mom was out by 1020am. We had an appointment for the next day check up. My moms vision was already better a day after. We scheduled her other eye after one week. All in all, Dr. Atienza gave excellent service, explains the treatment options well. His fees are I think very fair, and is more affordable compared to the others in his site per eye. More power! Thank you for restoring moms eye.
