Stephen began has career as a paediatric pharmacist after graduating from The Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen with a Master of Pharmacy (with honours). Following initial training at Great Ormond Street Hospital (London) he has since held a variety of clinical and managerial positions with Yorkhill Children's Hospital (Glasgow), Lloyds Pharmacy (Aberdeenshire) and The Portland Hospital for Women and Children (London). Stephen is the first paediatric advanced practitioner from a pharmacy background in the UK and is responsible for providing an acute service to sick and injured children in the London area.
Stephen also holds academic appointments at University College (London), Queens University (Belfast) and Southbank University (London) teaching consultation and clinical decision making skills, infection, antimicrobials and physiology.
Stephen is passionate about child health and providing child centred care. Other interests include paediatric critical care and neonatal and paediatric nutrition.
