Sarah graduated from University College Dublin with an honours degree in Physiotherapy in 2004. She completed a Masters degree in Manual Therapy in the University of Western Australia, Perth. After graduation, Sarah initially worked in Our Ladies Hospital for Sick Children Crumlin in the area of Burns and Plastics, Oncology and Orthopaedic Physiotherapy. In 2005 she travelled to Sydney, Australia, where she commenced work in St.Vincents Hospital in the area of Orthopaedics providing rehabilitation to patients who had undergone surgery or following fractures, amputation, soft tissue injuries and trauma. Following her time in Australia Sarah spent several months travelling in Asia, New Zealand and India before volunteering as a physiotherapist in Nepal for several months with the international charity organisation, 'Interplast'. On return to Ireland in 2007 Sarah commenced working in the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, Dublin firstly as a junior physiotherapist broadening and consolidating her experience in the areas of Neurology, Respiratory/Intensive care and orthopaedic physiotherapy. In 2008 she took up position as Senior Physiotherapist in the area of Musculoskeletal Oupatients, were she remained until returning to the west in August 2011. In 2011 Sarah completed Matwork Level 1 and Level 2 under the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI). Continuing professional education is important to Sarah in order to keep up to date with the current best practice in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, she attends conferences and courses regularly, in addition to keeping up to date with the evidence base.
