About Tricia Pugh
I enjoy working with people from all walks of life and in particular relish the aspect of helping people in times of need to find their way. I have a background in nursing and have always worked in a caring profession.
My aim is to support others with life’s challenges and to help them return to a state of well-being. The approach I use is ‘Pluralistic’ whereby I exercise a number of different therapies such as Reality, Humanistic and Cognitive. I select from the different therapies those which are appropriate to my client’s unique needs.
I believe that by looking at our behaviours and thoughts in therapy can enable empowerment and change. Such change can help us to get what we want and where we want to be. I believe therapy can help one to develop increased self-awareness and improve confidence, thus enabling the person to make choices that can create a more satisfying life. I use and perceive mindfulness as part of the here and now in therapy which I feel can assist in the unfolding of enlightenment. I aspire to provide each of my clients with a safe, supportive, non-judging trusting environment.
My qualifications include: BA (Hons) Psychology, Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy, Certificate in Cognitive Behaviour, Diploma in Professional Relaxation Therapy,Cert.Mindfulness.
