What is Wart Removal?

Warts are benign growths on the skin of patients caused by a viral infection. Often warts disappear over time. Warts are removed by surgical and nonsurgical procedures.

How is Wart Removal performed?

Wart removal is performed by applying medications like salicylic acid or cantharidin onto the wart. Cryosurgery, by freezing the wart using liquid nitrogen, is also used. Other methods used include burning the wart, cutting the wart or using laser assisted procedures to remove warts.

Is Wart Removal painful?

Wart removal treatment is performed using a numbing cream or anaesthetic. Patients will not feel any pain during treatments.

How long does recovery after Wart Removal take?

It takes two to ten days to completely recover from wart removal. This depends on the method used for wart removal and each individual patient.

What after care is required after Wart Removal?

Patients should keep the wound left by wart removal covered with a bandage. Patients should take or put all prescribed oral or topical medications correctly. Patients should not touch or scratch the wound. They should not apply any cream to the wound. Patients should place ice packs on the wound after laser assisted wart removal for at least two days.

The doctor is very polite, attentive and neat with golden handsKateryna, Ireland, 12 10 23

I am grateful to the doctor for his work. It took me a long time to decide on this step to remove a mole that interfered with me for aesthetic reasons, but I am glad that I found this wonderful doctor. The operation was quick and painless, the stitches and removal also did not bring inconvenience, at this moment I am in the process of healing the scar, but I see and hope that there will be no trace) The doctor is very polite, attentive and neat with golden hands.

The surgery and waiting room were bright and spotlessly cleanCeline, Ireland, 01 07 24

I emailed Dr. Kent on Tuesday night explaining I had a milia on my eyelid that I wanted to have removed. First thing Wednesday morning I had an email back offering me a free consultation. I contacted Dr. Kent’s secretary and made an appointment for the following Saturday. Dr. Kent was brilliant. He explained that he could not use laser to remove the milia as it was too close to my eye, and he recommended another treatment which involved micro needles which would apply an electric current. I was very happy to have the treatment as I was very self-conscious and wanted the milia gone. The treatment only took about 15 minutes and I was delighted with the result. It was painful towards the end but nothing unbearable. I would highly recommend Dr. Kent, he was polite, he explained everything to me, answered my questions and put me at ease. The surgery and waiting room were bright and spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend Dr. Kent.

I could not recommend the practitioner and his staff highly enoughJOHN, Ireland, 12 08 24

I could not recommend Patrick and his staff highly enough, I attended the clinic in Dec 2021. Patrick identified a seriously concerning mole, and surgically removed it immediately. It was biopsied at SVUH, where stage 1B malignant melanoma was confirmed. Patrick followed up tirelessly with St Vincents to ensure that the necessary surgery and treatment took place as quickly as possible, it was the period of covid. SVUH Dermatology Dept were amazing. the additional surgery and testing confirmed that all of the cancer had been removed with no spread. Patrick's prompt intervention saved my life. lovexxx

Wart Removal €100 - €350
Warts are a result of the most common viral infection of the skin. Plantar warts grow on the plantar surface, or the sole, of the foot. They can be found anywhere in this area but tend to produce symptoms in areas of pressure and friction. Ailesbury uses liquid nitrogen, radiosurgery or CO2 laser in the treatment of  verrucaes. Warts can spread directly from person to person, but this isnt common. You are more likely to pick up the virus that causes warts in shared washing areas and showers like those you find in swimming pools or gyms. This is much more likely if you have small cuts on your feet.[
