Dr. Bernuy, our board certified orthodontist received his BDS (Bachelors in Dental Surgery) and DDS (Doctor in Dental surgery) from the University Federico Villarreal in Lima Peru. Dr. Bernuy graduated at the top of his class in 2002. After earning top honors and several awards at different universities throughout Peru, he immigrated to the United States in 2003 to further pursue and develop his career. He lived in New York and Connecticut where he worked performing clinical procedures at different Orthodontic offices, learning and applying fundamental concepts in orthodontics. Later on, Dr. Bernuy was accepted into the dental school at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Distinction in Research. Upon receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, Dr. Bernuy was elected into the National Dental Honors Society (Omicron Kappa Upsilon-OKU) and he was the only student in his class to be inducted into an International Dental Honor Organization, Pierre Fauchard Academy. He then moved to North Carolina for continued training, where he completed his three-year Orthodontic Specialty Residency and his Masters of Science at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which has a great reputation of being one of the best orthodontic residency programs in the country. Dr. Bernuy is a Board-Certified Orthodontist who has trained extensively in dentistry and orthodontics in both South America and the United States. Board certified orthodontist, Dr. Bernuy keeps himself very active in continuing advanced educational programs to provide you with the most recent technology & procedures available in the field of orthodontics In his free time, Dr. Bernuy enjoys spending time with his friends and family. He also enjoys playing recreational sports, including Soccer and Basketball. He is also passionate about craftsmanship and is always trying to create something. He likes to hike along with various other outdoor activities and has a love for travel as well. Nadia recently joined our office as a Patient Care Coordinator in August 2016. Along with many years of coordinating experience, she enjoys interacting with patients and parents. Nadia has a passion for meeting new people and making them feel right at home. She will be happy to schedule appointments and answer any questions they may have prior and during treatment. Nadia’s favorite part of her job is interacting with patients, parents, and seeing the amazing results of orthodontic treatment and the confidence it can provide in one’s life. In her spare time, she loves cooking, reading, swimming, and spending time with her family.

Riley went to Dental Assistant School and learned the knowledge of being an amazing assistant in the office and in life! Riley received his RDA certification in October of 2016, and he is currently taking college courses to begin a journey through dentistry. Riley is a very outgoing person, and is always happy when he comes into the office knowing that every day he doesn’t come for himself, but to help patients. Riley has been with the office since September 2016, and is looking forward to seeing you soon.

Kelly recently joined our office as our Patient Care Coordinator. Kelly has 14 years of experience working in the dental filed, including orthodontics. She became Licensed & Certified as a dental assistant from the Dental Assisting School in San Antonio in 2001. Kelly loves her job and her favorite part about it is seeing how happy the patients are when they leave the office with a new smile. She is always the first to volunteer to assist anyone who needs help. She is actively involved with volunteering at her son’s elementary school and at the children’s ministry at church. Outside of work she is happily married to her husband Dave and they have 2 beautiful children, Larie and Bronson. During her free time Kelly also enjoys camping, fishing, hiking, biking, kayaking and spending time with her friends & family. Kelly is looking forward to meeting you!
