I had previously booked and attended a consultation with a local clinic but left underwhelmed and questioning the procedure and the skills of the dentist. I had been unhappy with my teeth for so long and wanted them fixed for myself solely, regardless of the comments that they weren't bad and there was nothing wrong with them. Once again I started to research and interestingly found out that there were not many regulations or restrictions around who could perform cosmetic dentistry. I then stumbled across the BACD (British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry). This is where I found Dr. Ken! I knew that if I was certain about going ahead with treatment this time, It had to be with the best, regardless of location (3 hour drive).
The accolades that followed Ken were very impressive and I decided to give Riveredge a call. From here Ali dealt with my enquiries. She is one of life's gems! Upon consultation I was instantly filled with confidence in the entire team and Ken "mocked up a new smile for me". How could I resist! If this was just the start, I was excited to get to the end. I decided upon 10 porcelain veneers believing that 6 or 8 could lead to regret of not finishing off the look. I didn't take the decision lightly, knowing that this treatment is not reversible, even more, important to chose the best person for the job!
I attended the initial review, a prep review, a check up review on the temporary veneers. I had the final veneer placement and a check up a review of this and ta da! As if by magic (and lot's of expert work by Ken and the team) I have these incredible teeth! I have no sensitivity and feel as though these are the teeth I was born with. I am slowly learning to smile with my teeth showing after years of closed mouth smiles and I am excited to wear every lipstick shade known to man!
