I graduated from the prestigious
University of Glasgow in 2006 and spent the last 16 years in general
practice gaining vast experience in all aspects of dentistry. My main
interests within dentistry include advanced cosmetic dentistry as well
as reconstructive dentistry using dental implants. Over the last 12
years, I have been heavily involved in implant dentistry and I now
receive cases from a network of dentists from all around Stoke-On-Trent
to treat, especially the more challenging cases.
In
2008 I was awarded the Diploma in Membership of Joint Dental Faculties
(MJDF) from the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons of England. I then
spent two years completing my postgraduate degree in dental
implantology in Newcastle University Dental Hospital. I have also
received advanced training at the Malo Clinic in Lisbon from Paulo Malo,
who is a global leader and inventor of the All-On-4 technique.
In
the developing world of dental implantology, my work now includes 3D
digital planning, 3D guided surgery and utilising CADCAM technology to
make the final restorations.
I
started treating anxious patients with sedation in 2007 and have since
treated over 900 patients with both the intravenous and
inhalational route to help put them at ease during treatment. I also
mentor qualified dentists who are undertaking training for sedation
dentistry.
I am a member of the Royal
College of Surgeons of England and the World Academy of Ultrasonic
Piezoelectric Bone Surgery (WAUPS).
Since
I took over the practice in 2013, I have dedicated the majority of my
time modernising the practice and ensuring we remain at the forefront of
dentistry.
Outside of work my main interests include sports,
traveling, good food and also spending time with my young family. I have
a baby son called Edvin and a daughter called Isla who keeps me updated
with the latest cartoons and toys.
