Adrian began his dental career in 1980 at the University of Birmingham Dental School; where he qualified as a Dental Technician in 1985 and has since gained many further awards and qualifications. This included winning a national competition organised by the British Institute of Surgical Technologists (BIDST) for the construction of dentures, which was presented at The Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1986.
Adrian holds Fellowship of the BIDST and Membership by qualification of the City and Guilds of London Institute in the subject of Dental Technology, which is equivalent to a UK University Masters degree. Further his work in gaining this qualification was honoured with a City and Guilds Medal for Excellence in 2010, one of 120 medal winners from a pool of 1.9 million qualification awards made by City and Guilds in 2010. Most recently Adrian gained his Diploma in Clinical Dental Technology at the University of Central Lancashire, passing with Distinction.
Adrian has authored a number of scientific articles, which have been published internationally and he has lectured the subject of dental technology in the UK and as far a field as Iceland. He is a member of the council of management of the British Institute of Dental and Surgical Technologists, a long established professional organisation that promotes the education of dental technologists.
Outside of dentistry Adrian is committed to lifelong learning and holds a further Masters degree in Business Administration and is a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and management.
Jacquelyn qualified as a Dental Technician in 1985 at South Glamorgan Institute of Further Education. She then when on to work at Birmingham Dental School where she gained a Higher National Certificate in Dental Technology. Jacquelyn established A J Rollings Dental Laboratory with Adrian in 1991. Her special interest is in Dental Ceramics and she has travelled as far as Japan to attend educational courses, where she became fully accredited instructor for Noritake Dental Ceramic materials.
In addition to her technical role Jacquelyn also assists Adrian in the clinic.
