Essential Dental Care

I’d looked up some of the online reviews and that’s why I chose Essential for my root canal and dental crown. Because it’s a private clinic, it was expensive. I think it was a bit more than some other private practices. I’ve had about five appointments in total.

I was given the price upfront when I arrived. I’ve been at some really good dentists before, so this was probably the same as anywhere else. He was extremely gentle with me. It was all very good.

Dr Paul is a very experienced Dentist that listens to the patient and delivers a thorough inspection and clear factual advice. The choice of treatment is always yours and the costs are very reasonable. Dr. Paul and his team are very pleasant and helpful and very professional. Great patience and quality throughout by Dr Paul and his team gave excellent results. I will always go back.

I had to unfortunately have a extraction of one of my front teeth as the root canal had not worked and a bridge in place. Paul and the nurses wee very understanding and supported me through the whole experience.

Even the thought of the treatment was very daunting but the practice made me feel so at ease and the outcome was much better than I had ever hoped for!

He advised the best option and I went ahead with the treatment. I was very worried about what the result would look like and having to wear a denture for a short period. It was no where near as bad as I thought an the match was perfect. You could not tell it was a denture at all. At the fit appointment both the dentist and nurse gave their opinions and informed me if I was not happy it could be adjusted. I was very happy with the bridge and the shade is better than I could ask for! Looks so natural, I am very pleased and grateful for all the hard work and time spent and cannot thank Dr Au enough. I would certainly recommend to family and friends for sure.

Dental Bridges, Dentures

This clinic is outstanding; Dr Paul Au is friendly, helpful and thoroughly professional. I've been going to him for years and cannot recommend him highly enough.

One of my teeth cracked as a result of grinding and I suffered from a condition called internal resorption. Dr Au managed this problem brilliantly carrying out a root canal treatment under local anaesthetic. Because of the extent of damage caused by the resorption it was also necessary to have a crown to complete the treatment. This was entirely painless and has been successful in avoiding an extraction. I am so pleased with the excellent standard of care I received I am now a regular patient not only with Dr Au but also his hygienist.

Essential Dental Care is brilliant! Dr Au and his team are so welcoming and professional. From the moment Liz or Naomi welcome you at reception right through to your consultation and treatment you really feel at ease. The waiting area and surgeries have a lovely air of calm; just what you need when having dental treatment.
I would definitely recommend Dr Au for great value private dentistry.

After loosing my front tooth as a child i have always been very self conscious of my teeth, i had alot of work done but was not happy with the outcome. I saw Dr Au for a check up and discussed my options, i was very happy with the treatment plan and decided to go ahead with ortho work before having a new bridge.
I was very nervous about my treatment as it was on my front teeth and have never really been happy with the results previously. The staff are very friendly, Dr Au is very professional, caring and gentle. I had alot of appointments and treatment altogether but could not be happier with the results. I am more confident and happier to smile without feeling so self conscious. The difference is amazing, cannot thank Dr Au and the team enough. I have and would highly recommend to family and friends.

I had my old amalgam fillings removed and replaced with lovely white ones. I had no confidence when I laughed knowing people would be able to see black teeth towards the back of my mouth. It took a few visits but I am so happy that I decided on the treatment as I now feel so proud of my teeth.

II felt very nervous at first but was quickly put at ease by all members of staff. The receptionist, the nurse and the dentist, who are all friendly and very professional and made me feel I could relax in their hands.

I visited the surgery with a broken tooth which was painful. Paul relieved me of the pain immediately and my tooth has a beautiful white filling, so looks perfect.
Not only was the treatment good value but it was a relaxing atmosphere and very gentle.

Paul is an experienced and caring dentist. He pays great attention to detail in both his dentistry and the practice environment which is modern but cosy. The staff are warn , friendly and welcoming at all times.

Cosmetic Veneers, I had very dark stained and crooked teeth and I never wanted to show my teeth when I smile. Dr. Au discussed with me the different ways to improve and I decided to have veneers. In the beginning, I was apprehensive about doing something to my front teeth but I am just so delighted. The fees are reasonable and they really look after you.

I am so happy with my veneers. They look so natural and I love the colour! It only took a few weeks to get the treatment done and its pretty painless. Now, I can really smile at everyone. Well recommended.

A recent route canal treatment was tricky but Sally is SO patient. Liz on reception always keeps you right. Most credit cards are accepted. Lots of buses nearby. Great practice. Even better. Superb! Wonderful though the phone signal in reception is vv poor and it would help any waiting time if wifi was introduced. That's the only improvement I can suggest. The dental nurses are also very good though don't want to be OTT! Why not though!?@? Superb! Would strongly recommend.
