Station Dental Practice

Dr Assim Ghaffoor is the Principal dentist and practice owner. He qualified from the University of Sheffield in 1999 and established Station Dental Practice in 2003. He has gained a number of post graduate qualifications; been an educational supervisor for newly qualified dentists since 2007 and is also involved in the training of Undergraduate Dental Therapists. Dr Assim Ghaffoor has a particular interest in minor oral surgery and Dental Implantology; he has a close team of highly trained Dental Nurses working alongside him on Dental Implant Clinics including the Nurse Manager Chloe Winster

Chloe started working at Station Dental Practice in 2005 as a trainee dental nurse. She qualified in 2007 and has her Oral Health Promotion Level 2 Certificate. 

Chloe is our Nurse Manager at the practice; she works alongside Dr Assim Ghaffoor and Mr Kashif Anjum in complex cases such as Oral Surgery and Dental Implants.

Dr Helen Hughes is an Associate Dentist and the Facial Aesthetic Lead at Station Dental. She has a particular interest in Anti-Wrinkle Treatments and cosmetic Dentistry. Dr Helen Hughes works with her dedicated Nurse Amy and the Facial Aesthetic Team.

Amy joined the team in 2014, she works alongside Dr Helen Hughes as her personal nurse. Amy has received specific training in a support role for Facial Aesthetics. She enjoys helping patients through their treatment and seeing the great end results achieved. 

Mr Kashif Anjum is the Consultant Oral Surgeon at Station Dental and also works at Royal Preston Hospital and Blackpool Victoria Hospital. He trained as a General Surgeon as well as Specialist areas: Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Facial Trauma, Salivary Gland Pathology, Dentoalveolar Surgery and Head and Neck Oncology. He has specialist interests in Head and Neck Cancer, Trauma and Salivary Gland Surgery and my research interest is Oncology. Mr Kashif Anjum works alongside the Oral Surgery Team who have received specific training in Minor Oral Surgery Nursing and Dental Sedation. 

Dr Nabila Parekh graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2009; she completed her Vocational Training at the practice and stayed on becoming an Associate Dentist. She has also completed further qualifications namely the MJDF and MFDS. She enjoys general dentistry and attends a wide variety of courses to keep up to date with her Continued Professional Development.

Heather joined Station Dental in 2010 and works alongside Dr Assim Ghaffoor and Mr Kashif Anjum in complex cases such as Oral Surgery and Dental Implants.
