Stow on the Wold Dental Practice

From a very young age I had a bad experience of the Dentist chair, hence my visits were few all through my younger years,. as I got older I realised the importance of needing to keep my teeth! I have seen several Dentists and been to quite a few different clinics, every single one filled me with dread, I hated every visit and can say nothing positive about any of the past experiences. Thank goodness that is all now in the past....... since plucking up the courage to finally go and see Dr Gavin Ho Fat.
I have had to have several teeth worked on, mainly due to previous bad treatments, Dr Gavin was very kind, considerate and patient with me due to being both nervous and reluctant to have anything done! Over the course of time I have had all my treatments, this is down to how the whole clinic make you feel as well as the professionalism of Dr Gavin, every single thing was explained in great detail, with plenty of time to ask questions and go through various options. I also had to have an extraction due to a double abscess...... thank goodness I was in safe hands for that!
I cannot sing their praises highly enough, I now do not dread seeing that little reminder email or text! If you are unhappy with your current Dentist then I advise you change as soon as possible.

I chose this clinic because I work in Talbot Court and got to know everyone in the practise, they finally encouraged me to pop in and be shown around, talk through my fears etc. Everyone in the clinic has your best interests at heart and really do go that extra mile to make sure you are comfortable and happy before you make an appointment or go ahead with any treatments. If you haven't been to see a Dentist in a long time then I recommend you pop in to see them!

My assessment appointment with Dr Ho Fat revealed that I needed cracked and worn fillings to be removed from 8 of my teeth and replaced with new fillings. A recently fitted crown also needed to be removed and replaced as decay and old filling material had not been removed from underneath the crown by my old dentist before he had fitted it. I was initially very shocked and upset to hear that I needed such extensive treatment as I had attended vert regular check ups with my previous dentist and his hygienist. Dr Ho Fat explained very well exactly what treatment was needed and why - the use of photographs he had taken of my teeth during the assessment helped me to see and understand exactly what was going on. The dental nurse then made me a cup of coffee and sat with me to explain how the treatment would be staged together with the costs involved. Everyone I encountered at the practice that day was incredibly kind, understanding, and supportive and despite receiving such bad news, I felt that I was in very safe and professional hands.

As I had lost confidence in my previous dentist, I was looking for a new dentist in my area. My first appointment with Dr Ho Fat revealed that I needed considerable treatment (something which no-one relishes) but I am now half way through the necessary treatment and I could not fault the care that I have received. The reception staff and the dental nurses have all been exceptionally kind, supportive and efficient and the treatment I have received from Dr Ho Fat has been professional and efficient to a level I have never encountered before. I am very confident in their care and could not recommend the Practice more highly. Furthermore, I have also recommended this practice to a friend and my mother, both of whom are also delighted with the care they are receiving.
