I had been having problems with a crown that kept coming out. On a routine check-up, Mr. John Harkess found that the root was cracked and that was also the reason why I had been suffering from an abscess. He referred me to his colleague Dr. Satya Patel.
Dr. Patel explained that he would normally replace the crown with an implant. But, because the bone would need to be built up and as I have a history of heart problems, he felt such a procedure could be too invasive. As my other front teeth were either cracked or discolored he suggested three bridges. However, because I have a deep bite, he said this could cause problems with the new bridges. He, therefore, recommended removing the silver fillings from my top front teeth and replacing them with white composite fillings which would allow him to adjust my bite by building them up to reduce the gap.
The whole procedure took three visits. He took great care and attention and explained everything as he went along. He and his assistant Rachel were very patient and put me at ease throughout. I am very pleased with the end result and will have no hesitation in recommending Dr. Patel and his team to my friends.
