Mark moved to Cornwall with his wife Stella in January 2008, so that they could raise their young family in one of the most beautiful areas of the country. He cycled from Lands End to John O’Groats in 2009 for MNDA and has not been on a bike since, you are more likely to find him on a golf course or spending time with his family.

Mark has always said that Dentistry is his hobby, he loves his job! He is passionate about dentistry, and hopes that this shows in his work. He is continually pushing himself to advance his skills and keep up with the latest technologies, as you can read below.  Mark believes that trust is the cornerstone to building relationship with his clients and uses digital imagery to help build this trust quickly. He also takes pride in creating a relaxed environment for your care, which is evident in both his practices in Wadebridge and Truro. Mark graduated from Bristol University in 2000. In 2005 he became one of the first practitioners in the UK of Clearstep the invisible brace and continues to provide clear aligner braces. In 2006 he completed a three-year diploma in postgraduate dental studies, which had special interests in oral surgery, sedation and prosthetics.

2008 he became a full member of the BACD, the British Association of Cosmetic Dentists. This means Mark has to maintain the highest standard of cosmetic dentistry skills to maintain his membership. Also in 2008, he finished the General Implant Forum and Training (GIFT) implant course run by Warwick University. He is also a member of ITI International Team for Implantology, which sets the protocols for Implant dentistry worldwide. He uses several implant systems and has done many advanced courses in Implantology. This has enabled him to provide complex procedures such as ‘Teeth in a day’, bone grafting; sinus lifts and gum grafting other clinics cannot offer.

In 2009 he began his studies into occlusion (the way we bite) with the Dawson clinic from the United States. Mark continued advancing his skills in occlusion at the European Dawson Clinic. He has attended advanced level occlusion courses enabling him to treat complex dental issues like tooth wear and TMJ dysfunction. He is one of the first and only practitioners on Cerezen in the UK, a unique treatment for TMJD. He works closely with his wife Stella who is a spinal specialist physiotherapist in the treatment of complex facial pain.

2013 mark invested in laser technology giving their patients world case technology, from gum treatments to surgery at his practice in Wadebridge, No65 The Dental Surgery.

In 2015 Mark started studying for a European Diploma in Implant Dentistry. This is a practical assessment carried out over 3 years by multiple European Universities. The course is run by world renowned dentists giving the broadest base of knowledge possible.

2015 mark bought his second practice, Pure Dental Health in Truro, where he has developed and grown the practice to provide excellence at every level. Now being able to offer 3D CT Scanning technology at both his practices, so he can provide fast and effective treatment planning of complex dental issues.

Jeremy is highly qualified with about 20 years experience in Dental Implantology. He qualified in Edinburgh in 1981 with distinctions in Periodontology and Orthodontics and also received the Dall medal for crown and bridgework.

After working in Cornwall & Devon, Jeremy opened Pure Dental Health in Truro in 1991. In 1992 he decided to focus on the specialised fields of Implantology and Reconstructive/Cosmetic Dentistry.

During 2000-2001 Jeremy underwent a years intensive formalised training with Hilt Tatum, a world renowned Implant dentist, innovator and teacher. This was an accredited 350 hour teaching programme in conjunction with Lille University. A Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies was awarded in 2001 and following a further 3½ years of intensive study Jeremy gained a Master of Science Degree in Implant Dentistry in 2006.

He is a member of the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry (SAAD), the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI) and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI).

Jeremy was a Teaching Fellow on the Masters programme at Warwick University Medical School, 2006-2007 and is presently involved with the Royal College of Surgeons Implant Diploma. This course is widely considered to be the most comprehensive Implant training programme in the UK and sets the gold standard for practical Implant education.

After 24 years at the helm Jeremy handed over the running of the practice to our new principal dentist Mark Durnall this year but continues to provide the world-class Implant Dentistry our patients have come to expect.

Jeremy has lived and been educated in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Canada.

He is an avid reader, follower of Formula 1 Grand Prix racing for 25 years and enjoys angling, gardening, mountaineering and rock/ice climbing.

Qualified at the Royal London Hospital in 1995; achieving a number of awards including The Constance Klein Memorial, The Stafford Millar, and The Malcolm Jenkins Scholarships, The American Association of Endodontics Prize and the Overall Award for Clinical Dentistry.

After spending 3 years in oral surgery residency in London and a further year practicing restorative dentistry in London’s Harley Street Medical District, he relocated to Cornwall in the extreme southwest of England. Jason practices at Pure Dental Health, Cornwall, UK where his main focus is microscope enhanced adhesive dentistry.

His specific interest is direct composite resin artistry and minimally invasive all ceramic restorations and he has presented to dentists locally, nationally and internationally (USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Europe) on this topic. He is a Post-Graduate Clinical Lecturer in both the Cornwall & Isles of Scilly and Plymouth Foundation Dental Practitioners Schemes.

He has given hands on programs in the UK, Europe, Asia, Canada and USA on behalf of GC, Ivoclar, Kerr, Hereaus, Optident, Micerium, Carl Zeiss, Global, Velopex and Triodent. He is a UK “Opinion Leader” for Cosmedent (Enlighten Smiles), A European “Key Opinion Leader” for Hereaus-Kulzer and is a member of the European Restorative Advisory Board for GC Europe. Jason is Resident Faculty at The Centre for Esthetic Excellence, Chicago, USA. He is an Accredited International Trainer for Carl Zeiss Dental Academy.

Jason has achieved Diplomat Status in Restorative Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons (England).

Andrew qualified from the University of Manchester Dental School 2013 and enjoys providing the highest quality of evidence based dental care in a friendly and relaxed environment. His philosophy of dentistry is based on prevention and conservation of tooth tissue. He is a Dentist with a special interest is Endodontics, which focuses on saving infected teeth. Having had personal experience of the benefits of root canal treatment, he has always wanted to become a specialist Endodontist. He is currently studying for a Masters in Endodontics at King’s College London and often uses his treatment cases to present to current and future specialist Endodontists. He has done hundreds of hours of continuing professional development and spends much of his free time studying to ensure that his treatments are always in line with evidence based best practice. This gives him the ability to be confident in providing the highest standard of care and guarantee his work.

Using magnification ranging from a Microscope to Loupes he is able to gain access to even the trickiest canals. The services he offers cover every aspect of Endodontic care from root filling, retreatments, instrument and post removal, perforation repair, pulp capping, and treating cracked teeth. You can be confident that your patient is receiving the best care possible to the highest standard.
