I was a little bit dubious at first regarding getting treatment from dental clinics from overseas, however I have read many reviews, and decided to give it a shot.
I haven't been to a dentist for a check up in many years, and have developed tooth pain that i was ignoring for a while. I wasn't sure what was the matter, or if there were any cavities anywhere else, so I knew I needed xrays, and finish off with a clean.
I was ASTOUNDED at the quality of service, professionalism, and overall experience that i received!
It started way before the treatment.
I made an inquiry to this clinic (and a bunch of others) weeks before leaving for our trip, and at 9pm Australian Eastern Standard Time, i received a reply within minutes!!
After making the appointment and a few days later, our travel schedule had changed, and the last minute inquiry was yet again INSTANTLY responded to, in English, at around 8pm our local time! The appointment was re-scheduled, and everything was set.
Upon arrival, I was amazed at how well the dentist spoke perfext english, and having had MANY dentist visits in australia, i was a bit nervous.
What then followed i can't begin to describe as anything less than the utmost best experience i have ever had at any Australian dentist. Turned out an old filling was done poorly (in australia, surprise surprise), and had to be replaced. I NOT ONCE felt ANY discomfort, as i was preparing myself for the usual australian methods..
Normally a typical INSPECTION back home left my sensitive gums bleeding to death, not even mentioning the 'clean' torture that i remember enduring back home..
The dentist paused every 15mins or so, showed me what he has just done, and explained what he was about to do next. After the fillings were done the first day, i made sure i was available the next day (turned out to be the day after) to come back to check how the fillings sat (they were naturally a bit too high as i could not really tell with anaesthesia at first), so they got filed back, and i got my clean.
Normally during my past cleans, i have to almost fight back tears, as my roots and gums are extremely sensitive, yet i barely felt a thing!!!!
Xrays, 4 fillings, and a clean, and i spent less than $200 AUD for 2hrs of treatment on 2 separate days!
That's the price of JUST A CLEAN back home!!!
I was amazed!!!
This entire procedure would normally have cost me what my entire 3 week holiday cost in thailand, including airfare!
I am NEVER going to a single dentist in australia ever again, and i HIGHLY urge you to use EMPRESS dental. The "bunch of clinics" that i emailed prior to my trip, STILL hasn't replied to me, so their loss.
It's now been 2 months since treatment, and my teeth are as good as new!!!
Many friends and coworkers i have urged to do the same, are still skeptical about it, however i really do reccomend that you just take my word for it.
Will definitely come back to get my crowns done! (Around $360AUD EACH!!) vs. $2000 - $3000 back home, for white crowns
