A la recherche du perfectionnement de sa pratique, elle part à Tucson, USA, à la Fondation Tweed, aux origines de l'orthodontie, en 2009. En 2010 elle rencontre le Dr Carriere dans sa clinique de Barcelone afin d'y apprendre ses méthodes de travail. En 2011, elle passe du temps à Montréal dans le service de Claude H. Remise, DDS, M.Sc., professeur titulaire, Chef du Service d'orthodontie (Chairman), département de santé buccale, Faculté de médecine dentaire, Université de Montreal.   Après être devenue spécialiste, Dr Rioux passe un postgraduate: le Diplôme hospitalier d’orthodontie linguale à Paris V, de 2012 à 2014, sous la direction de praticiens renommés pour être les précurseurs et les développeurs de la technique linguale.
