I agreed to take part in the teeth whitening demo during Aphrodite Beauty Gibraltar's re-launch open evening. I was very nervous about having the treatment but trusted my daughter Helen, who runs the salon, that the procedure was safe and painless.
The Whitening Consultant was very professional in her approach and ran through the procedure beforehand, reassuring me that everything would be fine. I have a capped tooth and was concerned that the whitened colour of my teeth would not match the cap - the Whitening Consultant explained that my teeth had become discoloured and the whitening would restore all my teeth to their original whiteness. I also have thin enamel on my teeth, and was told that this should also not cause any problems.
I had the procedure done in the open salon, with everyone watching me, whereas it is normally done in the privacy of a treatment room, however, I had no problems with this, and quite enjoyed being the 'object' of curiosity. Several ladies watched me having the treatment with some even taking pictures! At the start of the procedure, my teeth were matched to a shade chart so that the level of whiteness could be measured when the process was completed. The result showed that my teeth had been whitened by 6 levels - at which point all onlookers broke into applause! I am delighted by the results. The Whitening Consultant explained the after-care to maintain my newly-whitened teeth, and I can definitely recommend the treatment to other people.
