The implant procedure is the same whether one or all teeth are missing. A panoramic x-ray and oral examination is done to determine implant site and bone condition, the gum tissue is opened to expose the bone area where the implant will be placed, in situations where there is insufficient bone structure, bone grafting may be a recommended procedure, once healthy bone material has been established, the implant is ready to be put into place. After the bone has been prepared, the implant is embedded and the tissue is sutured. The implant is left to integrate and heal with the jaw bone. The sutures are typically removed seven to fourteen days after surgery. When the gum tissue is ready, a special abutment or metal bar/ball is attached to the implant. If crowns or bridges are opted, an abutment is placed and this provides the support for the new crown or bridge. Today's technologies often include the abutments attached to the implant post. If overdentures are opted, the metal bar/ball is placed and is the the clip used to securely retend the set of new overdentures. A fter impressions are taken, the crown/bridge or overdenture is made. If crowns or bridges are opted, it is then fixed over the post and cemented or screwed on. If overdentures are opted, they are simply snapped onto the metal bars or balls.

The root canal treatment is necessary when a tooth is seirously decayed or becomes infected. With the root canal treatment we can rescue your teeth. The tooth root is placed in the jaw bones. In the root there is 1-1 channel rarely 2. Before starting the treatment it is necessary to take an X- Ray. We will use local anesthesia. During the treatment we remove the infected tooth material and scrape out the root channel. Then it is sterilized and cleaned. Then we close the rootchannel with permanently or temporary filling.

Extractions are only done when a tooth ultimately cannot be saved by the dentist in the long run or when it is indicated by a orthodontist. These are usually done in office if it is non complicated.
