Dr. Natha graduated from the University of the Western Cape in 2004 and then completed his community service in Middelburg, Mpumalanga. He has since worked in upmarket, highly reputable private practices in areas such as the Foreshore, V&A Waterfront and Three Anchor Bay where he worked alongside highly experienced dentists and treated both local and foreign patients from all over the world. He also owned his own practice in Camps Bay in 2012 and joined the Kromboom Dental team in 2013. He has always been very interested in the variety of General Dentistry and enjoys seeing patients from the very young to the more senior citizens but his main focus is in the fields of Cosmetic (Aesthetic) dentistry, Crowns and Bridges, Endodontics (Root Canal Treatment) and minor Oral Surgery (wisdom teeth). He is also responsible for seeing the after hour emergency patients at Kromboom Dental and is on call 24 hours a day.

With his friendly and open approach, Dr. Natha found he was having many nervous patients referred to him and helps make visiting the dentist a positive experience. His commitment to his patients and never ending endeavors toward excellence and integrity has contributed to his success. Dr. Natha loves helping people, and treats every patient with kindness, respect, and appreciation. He believes that each person is unique, and strives to understand the needs of each patient in order to fulfill their dental need with compassion, quality care and artistry. Numerous patients from his previous years have followed him to Kromboom Dental as they are comfortable and trust him. In pursuit of excellence, Dr. Natha is constantly expanding his knowledge base and keeping up to date by attending numerous professional development training days in Cosmetics, Crown and Bridge and Endodontics (Root Canal Treatment). He aims to provide a high standard of dentistry in a friendly and comfortable environment and views communication and education with patients a high priority. With years of experience and a light hearted approach, Dr. Natha makes visiting the dentist an enjoyable and fulfilling experience.

Dr Aneesa Mohamed is a graduate of the University of the Western Cape, Class of 2004. After completing her community service in Mafikeng, she served as a clinical supervisor in the Radiology Department at UWC and was a service rendering dentist at the Mitchell's Plain and Tygerberg Oral Health Centres.

In 2006, she became a full time associate at a private practice in the Southern Suburbs and joined the Kromboom Dental Team in 2011.

She has completed a post-graduate diploma in Endodontics (Root Canal Treatment) at the University of the Western Cape. Her focus is in the field of endodontics as well as restorative and aesthetic dentistry but still provides all the essential basic and preventative care. She builds confidence in her patients by explaining all of their treatment options and helping them select the most appropriate treatment to suit their needs. Her goal is to provide the highest level of care and help patients keep healthy, beautiful smiles for a lifetime

With a particular interest in restorative and cosmetic dental treatment as well as general and preventative dentistry, Dr Shih enjoys working with people, especially patients who are anxious to be in the dental chair. She takes pride in finding ways to make visits to the dentist a rewarding experience.

Dr Shih is excited to grow her clinical knowledge and utilising the latest technological advanced in dentistry to help restore the confidence in patients’ smiles. She is fluent in English, Afrikaans and Mandarin.

Dr Seedat qualified in 2015 from the University of the Western Cape in the top 2 of her class. She then completed her community service for the Military (SANDF) for one year. During her undergraduate studies, she received numerous academic awards including the Golden Key society and the SADA medal for Oral Medicine and Periodontics. She is now completing a post graduate diploma in Paediatric Dentistry at UWC. she believes that learning never stops, and makes every asserted effort to learn more purely to provide nothing but the best treatment for her patients. Dr Seedat also currently serves on the executive committee for the South African Association of Paediatric Dentistry. 

Dr Seedat is passionate about her job and constantly keeps up to date with the newest developments in Dentistry by reading up on recent publications, and attending courses and workshops - including laser, sedation and pain control, advanced restorative, paediatric seminars, to name a few. She is a certified laser as well as gas sedation practitioner. She practices all fields of Dentistry, but has a special interest in Paediatrics, which is where her true passion and skill lies. She has experience in many fields of dentistry including trauma, laser dentistry, advanced restorations, endodontics, interceptive orthodontics, sedation dentistry and treatment in theatre (both adults and children). Lately, she works hand in hand with the myofunctional therapists at KDC to treat patients for mouth breathing as well as tongue and lip ties, from new born babies all the way to adults. 

Dr. Abdul-Basit Booley graduated from the University of the Western Cape in 1991. He then ran his own practice until 2004 after which he relocated to the UK where he worked in a mixed NHS / Private Practice until 2007 while doing a masters in Orthodontics. He obtained his masters in Orthodontics (with distinction) at  Warwick University(UK) in 2010 and still maintains the position of Honorary Clinical Teaching Fellow in Orthodontics at Warwick University. He then ran his own practice in Budleigh Salterton, UK until mid 2014.

In 2012, Dr. Booley  became an associate fellow at the World Class Laser Institute and completed a Masters in Laser Dentistry in 2014 at the University of Genoa (Italy). He is one of only 2 dentists in South Africa with a masters in Laser Dentistry.

In 2015, he relocated to his home town and is in the process of obtaining a post graduate diploma in Implantology at the University of the Western Cape. Dr. Booley joined the Kromboom Dental team in 2015 as their resident dentist with a special interest in Orthodontics and Laser Dentistry.

Along with a deep compassion for his patients, he strives to offer patients solutions to their dental needs while bringing professionalism, care and comfort to the practice.

He values the opportunity to help patients change their smiles through orthodontic treatments.

Dr. Seedat believes in continuous learning and is eager to continue expanding her education with professional courses. She is currently studying towards a postgraduate diploma in Restorative Aesthetic Dentistry. Her gentle manner with patients always eases the whole treatment process and she is known for her patience and gentleness. She enjoys building relationships with her patients, ensuring that they are comfortable and fully understand their treatment. She is also trained to perform treatments under gas sedation.

Dr. Khan graduated from the University of the Western Cape in 1979 where he practiced in private practice until he relocated to Bristol in the UK in 1991 where he practiced and did many courses related to the non surgical treatment of the TMJ and holistic dentistry. He has a special interest in the Dental / Whole Body connection. He uses splint therapies and orthodontics in his non surgical treatments of the TMJ and also uses homeopathy and nutrition to benefit his patients’ recovery.

In recent years Igsaan has worked with Chiropracters and Ostepaths highlighting the relationship between dentistry and the whole body. Igsaan also has experience in treating children non surgically with Facial Jaw orthopaedics which covers the lower jaw and improving the size and position of the upper jaw. His holistic approach to dentistry involves dental homeopathy in treatment of patients suffering with dental pain and anxiety as well as his practice of mercury free dentistry.

Through his studies and research he has gained an indepth understanding of the impact of toxic metals on the immune system. With his expertise in the holistic side of dentistry, Igsaan is a valuable addition to the KDC Team.

Zainab qualified as an Oral hygienist from the University of the Western Cape in 2009 where she received the Deans Award for her first and second year Oral Hygiene.

She also received the Radiology Award in her final year of studies as well as the Colgate Award for Community Oral Health Promotion and the OHASA Academic Excellence Award. She is now a full time member of the Kromboom Dental Team. Zainab loves helping nervous patients overcome their anxiety and loves working with children. She has a special warmth and compassion that makes her patients feel so comfortable and at ease.

She is passionate about Oral Health and her main focus is on prevention and motivates her patients to have the best smile they can. Zainab is actively involved in KDC's Community Oral Hygiene Programme: As part of our commitment to promoting Oral Health, KDC is visits schools in the southern suburbs on a weekly basis. Zainab visits classrooms to explain the importance of proper oral hygiene and diet and to provide instruction on how to take care of the teeth and gums.

Lameez also completed a mini dentist course which broadened her scope of work. She takes tremendous pride in helping patients transition from a state of poor oral health to a state of good to excellent oral health. It’s always her goal to make anxious patients feel comfortable and at ease.

She has the ability to make everyone with whom she comes in contact feel like a long lost friend, even when they are meeting her for the very first time. Patients adore her cheerful personality! We don’t know how she does it, but she is happy all the time, which makes everyone around her happy, which is why we (and our patients) love her so much.

Lameez imparts a professionalism to her responsibilities that leaves patients impressed and satisfied with their treatment. She not only teaches our patients proper brushing and flossing techniques, but counsels them on nutrition and preventive measures to keep their teeth and gums healthy. Kids love Lameez and always look forward to their 6 monthly checkups with her. Our #PreventionIsBetterAndCheaperThanCureCampaign is very close to her heart as she wants all our patients to be dentally fit for life.

Atheemah received her Oral Hygiene training at University of the Western Cape and graduated in 2010. She  then went on to work at dental practices in the Southern Suburbs and CBD  and joined the Kromboom Dental team in 2014.

Atheemah works full-time at Kromboom Dental Centre and works closely with the Dental Team, carrying out individual programmes of prevention of periodontal disease (gum disease) and caries (tooth decay).

She enjoys her profession as a hygienist, educating her patients on how to take care of their teeth as well as the chance to get to know patients and their families on a more personal level. She especially enjoys the chance to see kids and help ensure they have a good dental experience so that they enjoy coming to the dentist and take pride in taking care of their smiles

In 2019, she began her career with us and is already making a positive impact with our patients by improving their oral health while maintaining a comfortable environment.

She finds it a pleasure to be part of this great team and work together to achieve each patient’s individual needs at their comfort and finds it very rewarding having patients come back to our practice because of our excellent and unique service provided. Ruquayah is very passionate about helping patients understand the importance of their oral health. The best part of her job is bonding with her patients and helping them feel comfortable during their visits.

She also likes to motivate her patients to improve and maintain their oral health. She loves what she does and is excited about growing with the team and patients at Kromboom Dental Centre and is an advocate of our #PreventionIsBetterAndCheaperThanCureCampaign.
