Aesthetics Dental Surgery

Dr Tan Hwee Hiang graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1985 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. As a holder of the PSC Merit Bursary, she started work as a Dental Officer at Singapore General Hospital. After a year, she was offered a traineeship position with the Department of Orthodontics. In 1987 she was awarded the HMDP scholarship to do the Primary Fellowship Examinations in Edinburgh. A year later she was awarded the HMDP scholarship for the 2-year Masters of Science in University of London. In addition she also attained the Diploma in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. She returned to Singapore to work at the Government Dental Clinic. In 1996 she transferred to NUH Dental Centre and became a consultant in 1999. After serving out her bond, she left for private practice in 2000. Dr Tan has practiced Orthodontics exclusively for over 20 years and has keen interest in surgical and lingual orthodontics. Currently she is also a clinical instructor for the Postgraduate Orthodontics Programme at the NUS Postgraduate School. She was awarded the Excellence in Teaching Award for 2008 and 2009. She was inducted to the Academy of Medicine, Chapter of Dental Surgeons in 2006

Dr Teh Kiat Seong graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1988 He started work as a dental officer at Dental Clinic, Singapore General Hospital. In 1989, he was selected as a trainee in the Restorative Department to study the prosthodontics programme. He attained the Masters of Dental Surgery ( Prosthodontics) in 1992 from the National University of Singapore. Shortly after, he also attained his Membership from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1994. He worked at the Government Dental Clinic after his post graduate and then to the National Dental Centre. He has a keen interest in full mouth rehabilitation and implant dentistry. After 8 years of honing his expertise in the specialty of prosthodontics in the institutions, he left for private practice in 2000. Dr Teh is active in the Prosthodontics Society of Singapore and was a past president of the society for 2 years. In 2006 he was inducted to the Academy of Medicine, Chapter of Dental Surgeons. Since 1993, Dr Teh has been a clinical instructor with the undergraduate dental school at the Faculty of Dentistry NUS.
