Everyone was so kind and patient with me...looking after a shaking, crying adult with a phobia and in pain with toothache can't be easy! Had root canal treatment and didn't feel a thing during or after the procedure. Tardy writing this review, but I can't thank the staff and dentists at the Albufeira health institute enough and wanted to tell my story. SUPERB, Highly recommended. The dental clinic scheduled me in at very short notice. I had chipped a front tooth prior to travelling to Portugal from Ireland. I was hoping to have a temporary fix until my return to Ireland from my holiday. The two ladies Dentist & Aid completely surpassed my expectation. They were so kind and reassuring. I experienced no pain during treatment and had my tooth permanently fixed within 30 minutes. I was expecting the fee to be far more expensive then it was. I am so grateful to these wonder people. If you are seeking prompt professional care with kindness this is the place to go!!
I had first consultation a week ago and the team are all lovely and fluent in English also which was a great help as I explained my phobia of dentists Had examination and xray done and a plan was made for follow up appointment for treatment under sedation with gas. Unfortunately for everyone on the day the sedation system just wouldn't work.The doctor tried for almost an hour to get it working but to no avail. They were left with no choice but to call a technician and to send me home. The dentist, nurses, doctor and receptionist were all so apologetic I felt bad for them as they had moved some appointments to fit me in for a 3-hour session. I will return when the system is fixed, hopefully soon. But with Christmas looming and holidays to be taken it may be next year.
