A graduate of the Faculty of Medicine/Department of Dentistry, Jagiellonian University Medical College (CMUJ) in 1992. He continued his studies at the University of Melbourne (Australia) and through training at various implantology centres (USA, Sweden, Italy, Switzerland and Germany). He is a II Degree Specialist in dental surgery. In 2003 he was awarded a PhD based on his many years of clinical observations of teeth implants as abutments for prosthetic restorations. Since 2004 he has been Head of the Department of Implantology at the Institute of Dentistry, the Jagiellonian University Medical College in Krakow as well as Director of the CEIA (Central European Implant Academy). In 1996 – 2000 he was an assistant at the Maxillo-Facial Surgery Clinic, UJ Medical College, and later in 2000 – 2003 he was an assistant at the Department of Dental Surgery at CMUJ and in the Department of Prosthodontics at the Institute of Dentistry of CMUJ. A member of OSIS and the European Association of Osseointegration – EAO. He has 20 years of experience in implantology acquired in many centres and has his own practice, in which he makes use of various implant systems. He is currently working on a number of research projects on the influence of modifications in the surface of implants on the osseointegration process in cases of immediate implant procedures with simultaneous immediate loading of implants with prosthetic structures. He mainly specialises in tissue regeneration techniques, aesthetic prosthetic restorations on implants and immediate loading of implants.For the last five years he has taught courses in advanced implant surgery procedures and implant-based prosthetics at the Central European Implant Academy (CEIA) and at his own Implant-Dental Clinic.
