I had 2 root canals and porcelain caps. My 82 year old mother is going through a procedure of having all her teeth removed and semi-permanent plates put in. For basic dental work, I would recommend this clinic. I am not sure as yet how my mother's situation will end up.
During the busy season, there is sometimes a wait to get in (as in waiting in the waiting room). Dr. Meneses Sr., who does root canals, is excellent. Dr. Meneses Jr who did my caps, did a great job. Unfortunately, at this point there are some issues regarding my mom's work. I took her down yesterday to consult yet again with Dr. Meneses Jr. to find out exactly what was planned (he had made an error and told her that her upper plate would be permanent which is what she wanted. Now we find out that is not going to be the case. Not sure if she would have started this whole process if she had known that and I wanted to get to the bottom of it). All the extractions (lower) were really hard on her and her "immediate denture" did not work at all, though to give the clinic credit, they have been trying to "mold" it so it works. I was not happy with the "non-permanent upper error" but was even less happy when we arrived yesterday and the doctor had left already! I took time off work to go down there with my mother who uses a walker and he wasn't there. We spoke to his assistant who did take the time to explain things very well and we are now hopeful that everything will work out. PS I had to stand in line for an hour and 15 minutes to walk back across the border. Would not have gone down and subjected my mother to this if I had known the dentist would not be there. Will post on how everything turns out. Again, kudos to the assistant who had to receive my wrath!
