Hi I’m Alan (originally Scottish) but I have lived in Melbourne, Australia for over 30 years.
I found out I needed a dental implant about 5 years ago and was quoted some very expensive pricing in Australia.
I knew about the high standard of Healthcare in Malaysia and reasonable pricing and I found Utama Dental centre via some research and reading very positive reviews.
The customer service at Utama were very responsive and easy to deal with and arrange the implant appointments.
My experience at Utama has been very positive. It is a top-notch facility with helpful/friendly staff. Dr Ahmad, the implant specialist, who is American-trained, is great at explaining the implant process and absolutely meticulous in his approach and carrying out the procedure. The post operation care was also excellent.
I have no hesitation in recommending Utama Dental Centre at about a 3rd of the cost of Australia and we’re still well ahead after the travel and holidays in Malaysia which we absolutely love.
In fact, I’ve just returned again with my wife who needs an implant and for some other dental work for myself and a couple of friends.
The cheap flights are back and I would suggest to any fellow Aussies that getting an implant at Utama is definitely worth considering. I certainly have had a very good experience.

My mom lost her 2 back teeth few years ago. I found Utama Dental online and read the reviews of Dr Ahmad's implant patients and decided to visit with my mom there. Upon first consultation Dr Ahmad patiently explained the whole implant procedure to my mom and my mom decided to get her implants done with him. Dr Ahmad is very professional and friendly and his staff is very experienced too. After many months of research (I looked at clinics in India, Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia), I decided to go with Utama Dental on the basis of their excellent online reviews. I am extremely glad I chose them.

I made 2 trips to Malaysia. The first involved having 4 implants (including bone grafts) and temporary crowns on most of my heavily damaged teeth. The second and final trip - four months later - involved installing permanent crowns on the 4 implants and on virtually all of my other teeth (I have lost count - possibly 24 crowns).

Dr Ahmad is dentist par excellence! I have not had the same experience with any dentists I have seen in Australia. My experience in Australia has mostly been of great disappointment and painful costs. And Utama Dental's clinic is awesome. They did everything in-house without the need for referrals.

Nearby quality accommodation was readily available in the suburb where Utama Clinic was situated (Kota Damansara) with easy access to excellent public transport and numerous eating places and fine restaurants.

I had dental implants of the upper molars done. Dr Ahmad was extremely professional in discussing the options and process thoroughly. Dr Ahmad is excelling in dental implants and the procedure was smooth with no after-effects. Strongly recommend Dr Ahmad for Implants.

I was planning to travel from Australia to Malaysia on holiday and I needed an implant to replace a broken tooth so after reading good reviews of Utama Dental Clinic I contacted them. All correspondence was prompt and they answered all my questions clearly. As this gave me confidence and the cost was about a third of what it would be in Australia I decided to go ahead.

The clinic is about half an hour from central KL on the metro and about 8 mins walk from the station in the pleasant suburb of Surian.
Dr Ahmed was great - very thorough and took a great deal of time to explain the procedure which also included a sinus lift. All the other staff were friendly and helpful too.

The operation itself has been a great success with almost no discomfort and no swelling or bleeding. I need to come back after healing in 6 to 12 months for the crown. Still miles ahead cost-wise and another holiday in KL which I loved.

Found two clinics for my dental implant treatment and decided to go with Utama Dental as they offered the earliest appointment date. The services offered are professional and with detailed explanations including the procedures, the risks and costs before we agreed to continue with the treatment. Very satisfied with the treatment with the called up on my conditions on the second day. Have not completed the full treatment at the point of writing this review and am confident it would be done with proper care and services.

Service for one implant.

Well, I had been to this clinic before for two implants three years ago that time I picked them at random, after reading reviews. I am back at the same clinic years later shows that I was happy with the treatment.

They are obliging, professional and exhibit as strong duty of care. Above all even the injections are pain-free.

Had 1 molar extraction, extensive bone grafting and 2 implants at the same time.

The clinic is modern and flashy. Consultation only took about half an hour, but the surgery took more than 3 hours. Local anaesthetic had to be applied a few times as it wears off. Dr Ahmed and the team are professional and work swiftly. Will need to go back 3 months later for restoration.

I have done some research and found that they offer the lowest price for the dental implant. However, there will be additional costs depending on individual situation. Prices and procedures were explained clearly with no pressure.

I needed upper and lower full mouth implants and consulted many different doctors in Malaysia and finally decided to go with Utama Dental. Dr. Ahmad and his team did a fantastic job in reconstructing my teeth with implants within a year. The cost was extremely reasonable for the quality service I received. The clinic facilities are excellent, the patient waiting area is nothing less than a 5-star hotel. After so many years now I am able to enjoy my food because of my new set of teeth. I was looking for a reputed dentist in KL for implants. I started searching online and found Utama Clinic with top rating and reviews so I decided to give it a try. It’s great being treated by Dr. Ahmed who is very gentle and always ready to answer any concerns or questions. He is very experienced in his field and has a great passion for dentistry. As soon as I walked into the clinic I was met with friendly and courteous staff, there was no rushing or selling of products and treatments as I had experienced in other clinics. After the check-up I sat down with the very knowledgeable clinic manager who explained to me the treatment plan and breakdown. My family and I have decided to have all our dental treatments done at this clinic as all the doctors are well experienced.
