  • Prosthodontics is the restoration of damaged tooth tissues, individual teeth, or tooth arches. The main goal is to restore full chewing function and aesthetics using minimally invasive techniques and biologically compatible materials.
  • Following a holistic approach, treatment starts with a comprehensive diagnosis of the patient’s stomatognathic system, utilizing advanced 3D digital dentistry technologies. These technologies provide detailed 3D radiographic and intraoral scanner images, enabling professionals to create highly accurate and individualized treatment plans. They allow for discussions on treatment stages, duration, results, costs, and other treatment alternatives.
  • Digital prosthodontics represents a new era in digital dentistry. The integration of digital 3D imaging, digital manufacturing, and software into diagnostic and treatment processes ensures greater precision at every stage of the workflow, providing patients with the best possible results in the most comfortable conditions.
  • One of the remarkable technologies is 3D intraoral scanners, which replace the traditional process of taking impressions by eliminating the need for impression materials in the mouth. This is good news for patients who struggle with gag reflex or stronger nausea.

  • If you have lost one or several teeth, it is essential to restore them with dental implants as soon as possible. Ceramic implants are the most aesthetic and health-friendly solution for your beautiful smile and optimal quality of life.
  • Ceramic or zirconia dental implants are artificial tooth roots made of zirconium dioxide (ZrO2) that are surgically placed in the patient’s jawbone to replace missing teeth.
  • This method of dental restoration is part of a biological approach to patient health because ceramic material is immune-neutral, non-toxic, and does not cause type IV allergic reactions in the body.
  • Prior to implantation, a thorough examination of the patient is performed, and treatment planning utilizes the latest digital technologies: 3D computer tomography, 3D digital dental scanners, implant planning software. Implant guides are produced to ensure precise implant placement.
  • During the implantation, ozone therapy is used for disinfection, biomodulation and PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) are utilized to accelerate healing, thus eliminating the need for antibiotics in most cases.
  • Ceramic implants from Swiss manufacturers surpass others in terms of strength, clinical success, and aesthetic properties. Patients particularly appreciate the final result as ceramics are virtually invisible, matching the natural color of teeth and preventing gum discoloration.

Metal-Free Implants, ceramic Swiss Dental Solutions (SDS) (1 hour, 2 sessions)

Metal-Free Implants, ceramic Swiss Dental Solutions (SDS) - Auksteja, UABMetal-Free Implants, ceramic Swiss Dental Solutions (SDS) - Auksteja, UAB
  • A dental implant is a substitute for a natural tooth root, typically made of ceramic or titanium, which is surgically placed into the jawbone in the location of a missing or extracted tooth root. Implants are used to restore one, multiple, or all teeth.
  • There are various methods to restore a lost tooth, but only implants allow for the complete restoration of both the root and the crown. Teeth are restored without grinding down or loading adjacent teeth. If needed, a temporary tooth or teeth can be attached to the implant, which will later be replaced with permanent teeth.
  • Dental implants offer advantages that cannot be provided by other tooth restoration options, such as dentures or bridges.
  • One of the major advantages of an implant is that it restores chewing capacity. Other solutions for replacing missing teeth, such as partial dentures, do not replicate the same biting force.
  • A dental bridge can last an average of about 10 years, while dental implants can serve a lifetime.

Wisdom Tooth Extraction (1 hour)

  • Qualified periodontists or surgeons at the “Aukštėja” clinic perform the extraction of wisdom teeth. The extracted tooth socket is filled with platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) and ozone therapy is applied to ensure rapid and safe healing.
  • In up to 90% of cases, a chronic infection focus can develop in the place of a wisdom tooth. This becomes an open “immunological gateway,” allowing microorganisms and their toxins to bypass the immune system and enter the body, leading to various diseases.
  • Wisdom teeth are the last permanent teeth to erupt. These teeth usually appear in people aged 17-25. Some people never have their wisdom teeth erupt, while others experience their eruption normally, just like other molars, without causing any problems.
  • Unfortunately, most people’s jaws do not have enough space in the dental arch for wisdom teeth to erupt in the right direction and develop normally. They either do not erupt or partially erupt, and are therefore called impacted or unerupted teeth.
  • If wisdom teeth cause health problems (pain, periodontal diseases, damage to neighboring teeth or bone, formation of cysts), or when planning orthodontic treatment, consultation with an experienced surgeon or periodontist is needed to determine the need for extraction.

  • During therapeutic dental treatment, damaged tooth tissues are restored using biocompatible materials to restore dental aesthetics and chewing function, creating a beautiful smile and maximizing quality of life.
  • Recent studies on the human microbiome have shown that dental caries (tooth decay) is a chronic non-infectious disease that causes the destruction of dental hard tissues. The risk factors for this disease are the same as for atherosclerosis, diabetes, high blood pressure, and other chronic non-infectious diseases. Dental caries is a consequence of genetic, physiological, environmental, and behavioral factors. It is concerning that although dental caries is a preventable disease, its prevalence exceeds 90% and has not decreased over the past 30 years. For these reasons, the protocols for caries treatment and prevention at Aukštėja clinic are based on advanced principles of biological holistic dentistry.
  • Firstly, precise diagnosis of infection foci is performed using digital intraoral cameras, three-dimensional dental scanners, dental X-ray machines, and computer tomography. This ensures accuracy and informativeness of diagnosis and treatment planning, patient comfort, clear visualization, and excellent patient-doctor communication.
  • As mentioned, at Aukštėja clinic, the methodology of dental caries treatment is based on a holistic approach to human health. Therefore, in the initial stage of caries, in addition to drilling and filling, a unique “Icon” micro-invasive system is used, which helps remove early-stage caries and stop its progression while preserving the majority of natural tooth tissues.
  • Additionally, special attention is paid to the safe removal of amalgam (mercury-containing) fillings at the clinic, using efficient vacuum suction, oxygen devices, a mouth-protecting dam system, and protective masks. Therapeutic dental treatment positively affects the overall balance and harmony of the body.

Porcelain Filling (2 hours, 2 sessions)

Porcelain Filling - Auksteja, UABPorcelain Filling - Auksteja, UAB
  • Cosmetic dentistry is both an art and a science. Cosmetic tooth filling restores the shape, color, function, and harmony of the smile.
  • Cosmetic filling is performed by a dentist with extensive experience in smile design and a high level of expertise.
  • Microscopy technologies are used during filling to ensure accuracy and preserve healthy tissues.
  • Layering techniques, artistic brushes, and innovative biomimetic materials are used to perfectly restore the micro and macro structure, color, and form of the tooth.
  • Beauty is a sequence of certain proportions. The queen of these sequences is called the Golden Ratio, described in 1202 by one of the most famous mathematicians of that time – Fibonacci.
  • Nature is amazing, and everyone agrees. But it is not just “beautiful,” it is a “smart and powerful mathematician.” Our body, facial features, and smile are good examples – they are not identical, but they reflect the golden ratio in their size, shape, and proportion.

Full Mouth Rehabilitation (2 hours, 4 sessions)

Full Mouth Rehabilitation - Auksteja, UABFull Mouth Rehabilitation - Auksteja, UAB
  • The most advanced methodology for treating worn teeth is based on a holistic approach to human health, creating a flawless smile line and functionally restoring worn occlusion and the masticatory system.
  • The masticatory system is interconnected with other systems in our body, which are activated by dental contacts during chewing, an average of 15,000 times a day. The loss of dental contacts through wear or erosion reduces this activation.
  • Tooth wear is a multifactorial phenomenon, so targeted treatment begins only after comprehensive diagnostics, including a thorough medical history, a complete examination of the masticatory system, and the development of an individualized treatment plan.
  • If the cause of tooth wear is parafunctional movements known as bruxism or if symptoms of temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD) are observed, a holistic approach is applied to ensure long-term results.
  • We collaborate with neurologists, radiologists, maxillofacial surgeons, dieticians, psychologists, osteopaths, kinesiotherapists, homeopaths, and functional medicine specialists.

Hygienist Session (1 hour)

Hygienist Session - Auksteja, UABHygienist Session - Auksteja, UAB
  • Recent scientific studies have shown that proper oral hygiene is highly significant not only for oral health but also for overall body health as it maintains a healthy balance of the oral microbiome.
  • A healthy, balanced oral microbiome performs numerous essential functions for the body, including protecting it from other disease-causing microbes. It serves as a sort of immunological gatekeeper, safeguarding our bodies.
  • Failure to perform professional oral hygiene in a timely manner leads to the formation of deposits (plaque) on teeth and surrounding areas, disrupting the balance of the microbiome. In such cases, the hard tissues of the teeth are damaged, leading to tooth decay. When periodontal tissues are compromised, infection sites called “periodontal pockets” form, opening the “gateways” for disease-causing microorganisms and their toxins to enter the body, bypassing the immune system.
  • By removing deposits from the tooth surfaces using ultrasound, followed by polishing with special brushes, polishing paste, and powders, the oral microbiome normalizes, maintaining good oral and overall body health.
  • At the “Aukštėja” clinic, ozone therapy is also used during hygiene procedures to normalize the oral microbiome. Ozone destroys disease-causing (anaerobic) microorganisms while enriching cells and beneficial bacteria with oxygen.
  • At the “Aukštėja” clinic, patients are taught individual oral hygiene and introduced to the effective “SOLO” oral preventive program. By correctly cleaning the teeth and interdental spaces using the “SOLO” method, the development of tooth decay, periodontal disease, and other oral diseases is prevented.

Root Canals (1 hour)

  • The root canal system of teeth is a complex network of dentinal canals with different diameters.
  • Bacteria that enter the root canal system cause inflammation.
  • The microscope allows the dentist to see and assess the structure and changes in dental tissues that are not visible to the naked eye.
  • During treatment, infected and inflamed dental pulp tissues are removed, the canals are thoroughly cleaned, disinfected, shaped, and filled with a special biocompatible material called gutta-percha.
  • A tooth treated endodontically should be restored with a filling and/or crown as soon as possible to prevent bacteria from re-entering the root canal system and to reduce the risk of tooth and root fracture. The endodontist always works in a team with other dentists who restore the form and function of the tooth.
  • High-quality endodontic root canal treatment and prompt and appropriate tooth restoration lead to successful and long-lasting results.

Sedation for dental treatments (1 hour)

  • Sedation helps to relax and provides complete peace of mind during dental procedures. The treatment becomes comparable to a pleasant dream. You will remain relaxed and calm. Patients often refer to sedation as “sleep dentistry”.
  • Sedation is used to improve the tolerability of dental procedures for patients who tend to feel anxious or agitated before or during treatment.
  • An experienced anaesthesiologist provides individual advice and selects the level of sedation based on the patient’s needs. During the treatment, they also monitor and regulate your blood pressure, heart rhythm and respiration.
  • This option is particularly recommended for patients whose treatment plan targets more than one tooth in a single visit or contains other dental procedures, such as extraction of wisdom teeth, implant placement, increasing the occlusal vertical dimension etc.
  • Sedation is available for all dental procedures. It is safe and comfortable for the patient and allows the doctor to provide more treatment in a single visit. If you feel anxious or tense about dental procedures, I recommend the sedation service we provide at our clinic

Zoom! Teeth Whitening (1 hour)

  • The latest scientific research shows that the safest and most effective method of teeth whitening is in-office teeth whitening performed at a dental clinic, using whitening agents activated by laser or LED light.
  • At the “Aukštėja” clinic, precisely such teeth whitening technologies are implemented, utilizing high-quality materials and performed by experienced specialists. Therefore, we can guarantee the patient maximum results, safety, and comfort during the procedure.
  • Before the whitening procedure, a dental hygienist evaluates the condition and color of the patient’s teeth, discusses their expectations, and, considering these factors and the individual situation, outlines the preliminary whitening outcome. Prior to teeth whitening, it is necessary to undergo professional oral hygiene, during which pigmented stains, hard and soft deposits on the teeth are removed. After the procedure, the dental hygienist assesses the results and advises on how to maintain the teeth for a longer-lasting brighter smile.
  • The safest and most reliable method currently available is the professional BT COOL PLUS – LED teeth whitening system, based on the new blue LED light technology. It is used in combination with whitening gel and allows achieving optimal whitening results in just 40 minutes.
  • The clinic also uses the Philips Zoom teeth whitening system. This technology can lighten teeth by 6-8 shades in 90 minutes.
  • If precision and selectivity in whitening are required, i.e., if only specific areas need to be whitened rather than the entire tooth, the “Aukštėja” clinic uses the SiroLaser Plus laser and JW Power laser whitening gel.
