A crown covers, or "caps", a tooth to restore its normal shape and size. It will provide full coverage of the underlying tooth hence strengthening and improving the appearance of a tooth. Crowns are necessary when a tooth is extensively broken down. If a tooth is cracked it is often is the only treatment option available. It will hold the tooth together and protect it so the damage doesnt get worse. If a tooth has been root treated we may often recommend a crown as the resulting tooth will be weak, brittle and liable to fracture.

I attended the practice last year for a consultation for braces to straighten my smile and less than a year later I am delighted with the final result.
