We are sorry to learn that you believe that you were overcharged in our practice. As you were not informed of the cost of the x-ray beforehand and do not agree that it was necessary, we have today refunded you the full €50 cost of the x-ray.
We are delighted that you consider your treatment was done well and are happy with the results representing the standard of excellent dental care that D2 Dental provide.
We obviously cannot discuss your individual patient care in a public forum here, However, an x-ray is usually prescribed where a visual examination is not enough, to see 'below the gumline', for example to detect decay between teeth, check on bone density and health and to evaluate tooth root health and structure etc.
This is not necessary at every appointment, only where a problem is thought to exist or after a long period since last dental health examination.
