As an alternative to conventional metal brackets we offer Ceramic braces. These brackets are used in the same way as
metal brackets but match the tooth colour making them almost invisible. Typically, these clear orthodontic braces are
made of ceramic or plastic, but function in a similar manner to traditional metal braces. Most commonly chosen by
adult patients, clear elastic ties and white metal ties are available to be used with these clear braces to help keep the
appliances less noticeable. So for guests who are conscious of their appearance, they offer a great alternative.

Metal braces are the most common type of braces, are made of high-grade stainless steel, which has the benefit of being
very sturdy making them ideal for children. Due to technological advances, they have become more comfortable, attractive
and can be customised for each guest with colored elastic bands.

The top surfaces of your teeth arent smooth and flat. They are cris-crossed with tiny hills and valleys - called pits and
fissures. These are places where plaque can build up safe from your toothbrush and dental floss. Some of the pits and
fissures are so narrow that even a single bristle from your toothbrush cant get deep enough to clean them out making
this area susceptible to decay.
One method of preventing cavities from developing in fissures is to seal them off with a varnish called fissure sealant.
The sealant is a tooth coloured liquid which when set becomes hard. Once applied, the coating is permanent and will
stay on your teeth for a number of years.

The fluoride treatments you receive in a dental office have more fluoride than over-the-counter fluoride mouthwash or
toothpaste. They are used for both children and adults. Dental-office treatments are also different chemically and stay on
the teeth longer.
We use fluoride gel with strawberry taste which is applied by using a tray that looks like a mouth guard for four minutes.
The child is advised not to eat and drink for at least 30 minutes after the fluoride treatment. This helps to increase the
fluorides contact with the teeth and have better results. Fluoride treatment should be performed every six months.
