Doctor Biography:
Dr. Cyr completed his Dental, Oral and Maxillofacial training at Dalhousie University. His practice focus is dentoalveolar surgery with special interest in the surgical correction of Skeletal Dentofacial Deformities and repair of Temporomandibular Joint Disorders. Dr. Cyr has been in private practice as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon for 33 years. Dr. Cyr is the founding officer of Scotia Surgery Inc. and a principal shareholder and director. Dr. Cyr is a Fellow of the (Royal College of Dentists, Canada; International College of Dentists; International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons), and Member of Canadian Dental Association, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. He is Past President of Nova Scotia Dental Association and Canadian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Past Examiner, Royal College of Dentists, Canada, Past Assistant Professor at Dalhousie University (OMFS). Dr. Cyr holds hospital active staff appointments, at Queen Elizabeth II Health Science Center (CDHA), Dartmouth General Hospital (CDHA), courtesy staff at I.W.K. Health Science Center, and consultant staff at South Shore Regional Hospital, Hants County Regional Hospital and Eastern Health, Newfoundland. Dr. Cyr has delivered numerous clinical presentations to local, provincial, national and international meetings.
