Dr. Boruah Believes in a Multi-Modality Treatment Approach
With specialized training and experience, Dr. Partha Boruah is a valuable asset to Chan Chang Boruah Dentistry. He has offered orthodontic treatment since 1995, TMD therapy for over 5 years and dental sleep medicine solutions for the past several years. Dr. Boruah completed a 4-session craniofacial pain mini-residency with the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain (AACP) and learned different diagnostic and treatment options for TMD and headaches. He also completed a 3-session dental sleep medicine mini-residency at Tufts University.
Dr. Boruah’s extensive education started with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery Degree from Gauhati University, India. He then pursued a Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree (DMD) and enrolled in the International Dentist Degree Program (IDDP) at the University of
Manitoba. He obtained his degree with honours and then became a general practitioner in Calgary. Dr. Boruah is a fellow with the AACP and associate member of the International Association for Orthodontics (IAO) and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM). He is a member of the IDRG and a senior instructor with the IAO. Dr. Boruah has published papers abroad and lectured on a variety of topics including orthodontics, TMD and dental sleep medicine.
Dr. Boruah believes in using the latest technology when caring for his patients. His multi-modality treatment approach involves the use of spray and stretch techniques, trigger point injections, ultrasound, iontophoresis, laser treatment and splint therapy for TMD patients.
