He received his dental degree in 2001 at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and there began specializing in restorative dentistry under the aegis of Professor Ignace Naert. Thereafter, he followed a two-year specialization in oral surgery and implantology at the University of Liege, under the aegis of Professor Eric Rompen. It is always associated with the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven as a lecturer at the Institute of osseointegration and it assumes part of the optional course entitled Multidisciplinair studiepakket tandheelkunde. This course is intended for masters 1 and 2 of the KU Leuven.
