Hobsons Bay Dental - Denture and Appliance Clinic

Attending Williamstown and Westbourne Grammar schools, and duxing nearly every year. He went straight from highschool into Dentistry at University of Melbourne, and graduated with honours in 2000, including a prosthodontics scholarship in his final year. He gained valuable clinical experience working at several clinics all over Melbourne, in particular the town of Sunbury where he spent the majority of his dental career before joining this practice in early 2011. After a few short months Dr Andrews assumed the managerial role and began to update facilities and technology to improve on what was already a successful and well respected practice. He is actively involved in continuing education and furthering his knowledge of techniques and materials, and likes to stay up to date with the latest gadgets.

Originally from Northern Victoria – Echuca/Moama – where he grew up before moving to Bendigo to study at La Trobe University. Jack spent two years working and completing his Master’s Program in public dental health clinics throughout regional Victoria. He has been a part of the team at Hobsons Bay Dental since December 2012. Jack enjoys all aspects of general dentistry with particular interests in providing thorough diagnosis, assessment and treatment planning as well as improving smiles with aesthetic treatments including Clear Invisible orthodontic treatment (Invisalign® registered practitioner).

He has a rich educational background, studying Biomedical Science with Honours, and a PhD at Austin Health before finding his passion in dentistry. After completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Melbourne and gaining experience throughout Melbourne, he joined our team in 2014. He brings a compassionate and gentle nature to his chair side manner, and has an interest in special needs dentistry. Coming from a family of healthcare professionals, he understands how to relate to patients and treat them like they are indeed one of his family. He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry with particular interest in thorough diagnosis, assessment and treatment planning, with a strong preventive and patient-centred focus.
