Dr Scott Smith (BDS FRACDS MOrthRCS DocClinDent(Ortho)). Dr. Scott Smith is our Principal Orthodontist with a dental career spanning over 18 years. He started Scott Smith Orthodontics (SSO) in 2008 with the aim to provide dedicated community based specialist orthodontic care in Launceston and the northwest coast of Tasmania.

Graduating with a Dental Degree (BDS) from the University of Adelaide in 1992, Scott completed his fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS) in 1999. Scott then dedicated 8 years to paediatric dental care as a hospital staff dentist, lecturer to the University of Adelaide and head of the dental unit at the Adelaide Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
