Mawson Lakes Dental

Dr Satera Papageorgiou is the Practice Principal at Mawson Lakes Dental, and has been practicing in the Mawson Lakes and Para Hills area for 25 years. During this time, she established the successful McIntyre Dental Clinic, and also established Greenwith Dental.  Mawson Lakes Dental is her current dental practice, along with Copper Coast Dental in Kadina, regional South Australia, 150km north of Adelaide. 

Dr Papageorgiou has a strong philosophical approach to all aspects of dentistry. She is holistic in her approach and believes in treating all members of the community as equals when it comes to their dental needs. 

Currently Dr Papageorgiou practices 4 days a week between her two practices. She has in previous years tutored undergraduate dental students at University of Adelaide. Dr Papageorgiou sits on the Peer Review Committee of the ADA  S.A. Branch, and has been the Dental Representative on the Medical Advisory Committee for Calvary Central District Hospital for the past 20 years.  A keen advocate of improving the health and dental health status of rural Australians, she has involved herself with offering her services to remote communities in the Northern Territory.  

She practices all modalities of dentistry, however, has an added interest and extensive experience in rehabilitative dentistry, cosmetic and implant dentistry. She is Invisalign accredited.

Cathy is an integral part of our dental team since graduating in December 2006. Cathy has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry, including implants and porcelain and resin veneers, and works with many patients to help create that beautiful smile they have always wanted. 

She works with patients who have a wide range of treatment needs. Cathy is friendly, caring and gentle, and endeavours to create a positive outcome for her patients. Anxious patients who attend the practice will benefit from seeing Cathy, as she aims to make your visit as comfortable and pleasant as possible.

Cathy regularly attends seminars and workshops in dentistry to maintain and learn new skills, and keep abreast with the latest technology and materials available. Cathy is also a clinical tutor to dental students at the Adelaide University.

Jenny has worked in dentistry for over twenty years, joining Mawson Lakes dental 5 years ago. Previously she has worked for seven years as a Dental Therapist in the School Dental Service, then as as a Hygienist in a general practice including working as a hygienist in a orthodontic practice.

She enjoys caring for the dental needs of her clients and helping people to improve their oral hygiene in order to prevent dental disease. She offers a personalised gentle care program to all, but especially to people who are nervous or anxious about treatment. Her aim is to provide my clients with information and treatment to help prevent gum disease and decay.

Eddie is our Dental Therapist and has been with our practice since the start of 2007.  Eddie graduated from his Bachelor of Oral Health (BOH) from the University of Adelaide in 2006.  In his final year of study, Eddie received a  scholarship from the University of Adelaide to attend and present at the World Oral Health Week Seminars held at the INHolland University in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Eddie is dedicated to maintaining the oral health of children, teenagers and young adults.  In particular, Eddie deals with many anxious patients and endeavours to create a relaxing and safe environment where his patients can feel at ease.
