Happy Rock Dental

Dr. Wei-Jie Jiang opened Happy Rock Dental in 2005 after having studied his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at Sydney University. Wei (pronounced “way”) has keen interests in Implant Dentistry and all aspects of General Dentistry. For leisure he enjoys golf, literature, good food, cooking and also karaoke. Wei also holds a position as a graduate tutor for the Bachelor of Dentistry program at the Sydney University Westmead Centre for Oral Health, teaching dental students each Wednesday.

Dr. Sophia Petta is originally from Freemantle, having completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedicine, majoring in both Medical Genetics and Molecular Medicine at the University of Western Australia. After moving to New South Wales, Sophia completed her Bachelor of Dentistry at Sydney Uni. Sophia has developed further in the fields of Dentistry for Children and Family, Orthodontics and Cosmetic Dentistry. Sophia joined Happy Rock when the practice first opened at its current location at the end of 2009. Sophia’s interests include: any outdoor activities and being creative through painting and sculpture with various media. Sophia’s creative mentor is renowned Australian contemporary artist Astrid Dahl.

Dr Lauren Hawke graduated with a Bachelor of Dentistry, Honours from the University of Sydney. Lauren has travelled to the top end and worked in a private dental practice in Darwin. Now she has returned home and has been working as a general dental practitioner in Sydney and further south in Nowra.

Lauren was born and raised in Cronulla and attended Kincoppal Rosebay High School. Prior to gaining her degree in dentistry she received a Bachelor of Medical Science from the University of Technology Sydney.

Her interests within dentistry include preventative, restorative and cosmetic dentistry, as well as children’s dentistry and Invisalign.

Outside of dentistry Lauren enjoys travel, spending time with her family and friends as well as keeping fit with yoga, Pilates and walks along the Esplanade.

Dr Megan Barker gained her dentistry qualification with honours from the University of Sydney, having previously completed a medical science degree from the Australian National University. She worked for several years in her hometown of Canberra before relocating to the Sutherland Shire to join the team at Happy Rock Dental. She enjoys all areas of dentistry with a particular interest in preventative, restorative and endodontic treatment. Beyond dentistry, Megan enjoys being active and keeping fit. In 2013 she travelled from Hong-Kong to Moscow on the trans-Mongolian railway. She is a keen swimmer and enjoys walking the Coastal Track and exploring the Royal National Park.
