Treatment for Wrinkles
Regardless of how committed you are when taking care of your face, premature wrinkles are an inevitable part of life. There are three types of wrinkles: dynamic, static, and wrinkle folds. Dynamic wrinkles are caused by the contraction of muscles that are attached to your overlying skin. Every time your muscle contracts, your skin bunches together forming lines between your muscles. The most common dynamic wrinkles form across your forehead, on your cheeks, near the outer corner of your eyes (crow’s feet), and between your eyebrows. Static wrinkles are a result of genetics, poor diet, environmental factors, smoking, sun damage, prolonged dynamic wrinkling, and lack of elasticity. Static wrinkles continue to be visible even after muscle contraction has stopped and that is why they are called “static.” The third type of wrinkle is called a wrinkle fold. The cause of this wrinkle is due to sagging of the underlying facial structures and the most common wrinkle folds are the deep grooves between the nose and mouth known as the naso-labial groove.
