Brow Lift

A brow lift (also known as a forehead lift) is a treatment that corrects sagging in the forehead skin, upper eyelids, and eyebrows. The surgeon maneuvers tissues and remove segments of muscles and skin that are responsible for wrinkles or a deep frown. Sometimes, this procedure is performed in conjunction with a facelift or a reshaping of the nose.

Eyelid surgery

Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, may be done to correct ptosis (sagging eyelids), remove fatty bulges around the eyes, and eliminate hanging skin from the eyelids. It’s often a cosmetic procedure to improve appearance but it may be medically necessary due to the fact that the sagging may block the field of vision. An expert in blepharoplasty, Dr. Moradzadeh uses state-of-the art technology and the very latest surgical techniques for the procedure, which can make you look — and feel — years younger.

Rhytidectomy

A facelift, or rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure that removes excess facial skin and lifts the deeper tissues (SMAS) to create a more youthful appearance and minimize visible skin wrinkles and jowl lines on the face and neck. The results can be subtle or dramatic, depending on the effects the patient wants to achieve. Aging of the face is inevitable. As the years go by, the skin begins to loosen on the face and neck. Crow’s feet appear at the corners of the eyes. Fine forehead lines become creases and then, gradually, deeper folds. The jawline softens into jowls, and beneath the chin, another chin or vertical folds appear at the front of the neck. Heredity, personal habits, the pull of gravity, and sun exposure all contribute to the aging of the face. As the aging population grows, it is understandable why rhytidectomy has become the third most popular facial plastic surgical procedure.

SMAS Facelift

A SMAS facelift is a type of facelift that involves the repositioning of the deeper tissue layers of the face to produce long lasting results. The SMAS layer of the face is the layer of tissue that contains the facial muscles and the overlying facial fat and skin. These layers become lax with age, resulting in deep folds around the mouth and sagging facial fat that cause jowls and loss of jawline definition.

Deep Plane Facelift

The deep plane facelift is an advanced surgical technique that’s designed to address the mid-facial sagging that often occurs with age. (The mid-face is an area that is often overlooked with other facelift techniques.) As people age, they not only lose volume in their faces but the support tissues also relax and descends as well. In some individuals, this creates a deep line from the nose to the corner of the mouth (known as the nasolabial fold). In those individuals with a deep nasolabial fold, simply tightening the skin will not create a more refreshed look. That’s where a deep plane facelift is particularly beneficial. The procedure replaces the mid-facial tissues back into the check, creating a refreshed and rejuvenated appearance. It also creates more volume in the cheek through surgical elevation. In essence, this technique can provide a comprehensive rejuvenation of the lower two-thirds of the face.

Mini Facelift

This is a popular procedure that is primarily used with patients who want to refresh their appearance but do not need a complete facelift. It’s designed to improve the jawline, sharpen the neckline and refresh the overall appearance of the face — making patients look more rested and energetic. Dr. Moradzadeh can deliver facial enhancements that look completely natural and bring out patients’ natural beauty.

Micro Fat Transfer

Fat transfer involves the transfer of fat from one part of the body to another. The doctor carefully harvests fat cells that are then injected to firm, fill out or plump up other body parts. Fat transfer is a popular, safe and effective alternative to other wrinkle treatments — designed to re-contour the face and provide definition to the cheeks and chin. It can also be used to correct facial deformities. One particular advantage to this treatment is the fact that fat transfer involves one’s own fat cell, so the patient can never have an allergic reaction.

Neck Liposuction

Neck liposuction is a plastic surgery procedure that improves the appearance of the neck area by removing excess fat deposits. The procedure tends to be more effective on individuals of normal body weight who have areas of fat that have proven resistant to diet and exercise.

Individuals with persistent fat deposits on the neck that detract from the youthful angularity of the lower face are good candidates for neck liposuction. It’s also an excellent treatment for a double chin, neckbands, fat around the jowl area, or poor jaw definition.

Neck Lift

If the eyes are the first place people begin to show their age, then the neck is arguably the second. Vertical banding, horizontal creases, fatty jowls, the dreaded “turkey-wattle,” and a crepe-y quality to the skin can all work together to make an individual look older. Neck lift surgery (the medical term is platysmaplasty, named for the plastysma muscles that run along the front of the neck) tightens the skin and the underlying muscles to lift the neck as well as improve and sharpen the contour of the jawline. The surgery is often performed in conjunction with a facelift, but may also be done as a stand-alone procedure.

Otoplasty

Otoplasty refers to cosmetic surgery procedures for correcting deformities or disfiguring injuries to the outer ear. This is the only type of plastic surgery that’s done more often on children than adults, but it can be performed on people of all ages. Prominent or protruding ears commonly run in families — there is definitely an inherited tendency for this condition, although it cannot be predicted for certain whether or not a child will be born with it. There are many reasons for otoplasty: to correct the appearance of protruding or prominent ears. This procedure is known as setback or pinback otoplasty. to correct major disparities in the size or shape of the ears. to repair or reconstruct the auricle after traumatic injuries or cancer surgery. Otoplasty is not generally done to correct hearing difficulties related to the structure of the middle and inner ear.

Rhinoplasty

The term rhinoplasty means, “nose molding” or “nose forming.” Also known in more colloquial terms as a “nose job” it refers to a plastic surgery procedure in which the structure of the nose is changed. The change can be made by adding or removing bone or cartilage; grafting tissues form another part of the body, or implanting synthetic material to alter the shape of the nose.
Rhinoplasty is the second most common cosmetic procedure among both men and women, but it also one of the trickiest in terms of surgical technique — and it demands the skill and artistry of a trained expert like Dr. Moradzadeh.

When rhinoplasty is performed to improve breathing that has been impaired due to the formation of the nose or to an injury, it’s known as functional rhinoplasty. When the surgery is performed to improve the nose’s appearance, it’s referred to as cosmetic rhinoplasty.

Through cosmetic rhinoplasty, the nose can be made larger or smaller; the angle of the nose can be changed in relation to the upper lip; the tip of the nose can be altered; or other imperfections like bumps, indentations and other defects can be corrected.

Fractional CO2 Laser Treatment

Pearl Fractional is a new, voluminizing, fractional laser that has been perfected for treating photo damaged skin (skin damaged by exposure to sunlight). It’s designed to improve brown spots and sun damage and to tone and texture the skin — resulting in a noticeably smoother and brighter complexion. Pearl Fractional can be used on the entire face and is particularly effective in treating the delicate periorbital (around the eyes) and perioral (around the mouth) areas, which often show the first signs of aging and can be the most challenging to treat. Most patients see significant improvement in about a week after only one treatment. Maximum results are visible in one to three months.

IPL Skin Rejuvenation

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Phototherapy is an innovative and effective treatment to eradicate red facial veins and flushing, improve acne rosacea, treat irregular skin pigmentation and wrinkles, and reduce fine facial lines that begin to appear on facial and non-facial skin that’s exposed to sunlight. These skin conditions can be caused by a host of factors, including loss of collagen and elastic, sun damage, smoking, alcohol use and hormonal changes.

Laser Hair Removal

If you’ve tried shaving, tweezing, or waxing to remove unwanted hair and have been unhappy with the results, laser hair removal may be worth considering. It’s actually one of the most common cosmetic procedures in the U.S. Highly concentrated light is beamed into the hair follicles. Pigment in the follicles absorbs the light and that is what destroys the hair.

Ultherapy

Ultherapy, often referred to as “the ultrasound facelift” or “weekend facelift” is a revolutionary new technology for the visible lifting and tightening of facial skin. It makes ultrasound technology in a completely new way to lift and elevate the facial tissue – just as face lift surgery can do. In traditional ultrasound the waves are non-focused, which means they travel in a straight line directly out from the source. By contrast, Ultherapy uses targeted ultrasound that focuses the ultrasound waves down to a focal point, creating a microthermal coagulation zone that precisely heats the tissue to cause contraction and tightening of the collagen in the skin. Ultherapy is the only non-invasive device that treats the SMAS layer, which is the tissue targeted with neck lift and face lift surgery.

Balloon Sinuplasty

Patients who suffer from chronic sinus disease can often benefit from a state-of-the-art technique known as Balloon Sinuplasty. Dr. Moradzadeh began using sinus balloons before they were available to most surgeons.

Septoplasty

The septum and nasal passages are lined with a layer of soft tissue known as the nasal mucosa. Through incision made inside the nostril, Dr. Moradzadeh lifts up the tissue (muscosa) covering the septum. This allows him to see the bone and cartilage directly, with the help of an endoscope. The doctor removes or reshapes the deviated portions of the bone and cartilage, leaving enough non-deviated bone and cartilage in tact to maintain the shape of the nose. The internal incision is then stitched closed. The entire procedures takes anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes. Soft plastic sheets are placed inside the nose to help the septum heal straight and reduce the chance that scar tissue will form. Dr. Moradzadeh does not use packing.

Sinus Surgery

If you experience chronic bouts of sinus infections, nasal congestion and post-nasal drip, you may suffer from sinusitis. Typical cases of sinus infections can be treated with a nasal decongestant and saline spray, sometimes coupled with an antibiotic. However, if your symptoms worsen or you experience these problems consistently, you may want to consider sinus surgery as an option. The goal of this procedure is to flush out infected material, open up blocked sinus passages and keep enough healthy tissues so that the nose and sinuses can function normally.

Dermatology

Acne Scars Treatment

Acne is a skin condition that affects up to 80% of people in their teens and twenties, and up to 5% of older adults. While many people recover from acne without any permanent effects, some people are left with disfiguring acne scars. There are some topical skin care products and medications that can improve mild scarring, but most acne scars are treated with a combination of surgical procedures and skin resurfacing.

Laser Treatment for Toenail Fungus

Onychomycosis, or fungal infection of nails (most often on the toes) affects approximately 12% of Americans, according to the American Academy of Dermatology. Some people are genetically prone to it. Others, including swimmers and other athletes, are prone to onychomycosis because they go barefoot in public areas or because their feet are often damp. In its mild forms, nail fungus is merely a cosmetic problem, but over time it can cause toenails to grow abnormally and make it painful to walk.
