Melanie is an Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner and has specialised in facial augmentation and rejuvenation procedures for over ten years. She is a founder member of the Independent Aesthetic Practitioners Forum which was established to provide ongoing development and resources for nurses working in the field of medical aesthetics. She is also a founder member of the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses. She has worked in orthopaedics, ophthalmics and in operating theatres as well as within the pharmaceutical industry for several years.
After completing extensive training with some of the leading manufacturers in aesthetic medicine (Euromedical Systems, Q Med, Allergan), she established her own practice in 2000, trained at advanced level for injectables, and has become one of the leading experts in the field of facial rejuvenation. She is also a fully qualified Independent Nurse Prescriber.
Melanie is a full time practitioner who has performed over 18,000 procedures. Her experience within the field has included clinical research in a study using [Treatment name removed] ‘A’ ([Treatment name removed]®) for cosmetic purposes and is co-founder of a specialist clinic dealing with hyperhidrosis.
She is also a teacher for the Joint Committee of Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgeons (Leicester). Her role is to train and mentor newly qualified Plastic Surgeons in Aesthetic procedures.
