After graduating in Medicine I went on to specialise in Reconstructive and Plastic surgery, passing the Intercollegiate Speciality examination in Plastic Surgery in 2005, before being appointed as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Bradford and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary in 2007.
Renowned as one of the region’s leading surgeons, Mr Nick Rhodes has gained an enviable reputation for his innovative work both in the NHS and the private sector.
Originally trained in oral and maxillofacial surgery, Nick specialised in reconstructive surgery across Yorkshire and was appointed Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Bradford and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary in 2007. It was during this appointment that Nick really made a name for himself for his work in breast cancer micro-surgical reconstruction.
Since taking over the Coppergate Clinic in 2016, the talented surgeon has added high-tech cosmetic aesthetics to his extensive list of cosmetic treatment options. Ensuring clients will be in the safest hands, Nick’s knowledge has been honed in countless operating theatres and it is this knowledge that is at the heart of every treatment he now offers within his private practice.
Mr Rhodes was educated at Leeds Grammar School before graduating in both Medicine (MBChB) and Dental Surgery (BDS) from the Universities of Leeds and Liverpool respectively. Initially training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Mr Rhodes was made a Fellow of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons at the Royal College of Surgeons (FFD RCSI) before going on to complete his training in general surgery within designated accredited training posts in the UK.
Upon successful completion of his Royal College examinations, Mr Rhodes became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland in 2002 (FRCSI). Mr Rhodes went on to specialise in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery undertaking his Higher Surgical Training in the Yorkshire Region and passing the Intercollegiate Specialty examination in Plastic Surgery in 2005 FRCS(Plast).
Mr Rhodes' training in Plastic surgery includes extensive experience in Cosmetic Surgery and Reconstructive Microsurgery. Having gained his Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST), Mr Rhodes was entered onto the General Medical Council (GMC) and Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery in April 2006. The following year, Mr Rhodes was appointed as a Consultant in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Bradford Royal Infirmary and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.
Alongside his NHS work, Mr Rhodes worked from both Spire Elland Hospital and Spire Methley Park Hospital treating private patients for nearly two decades, before taking over and treating his private patients from Coppergate Clinic, York in 2016.
