Mr Fahmy S Fahmy, FRCSI (plast) has been a Consultant Plastic, Cosmetic, Reconstructive and Hand surgeon since 2001.
Mr Fahmy started training in Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery in 1991 in the South East of England then Yorkshire. He continued the Plastic & Cosmetic surgery training in the South West of England. He spent 3 months in a specialist fellowship in Taiwan, before becoming a consultant in 2001 in Chester and Wrexham, Cheshire and North Wales.
His work is divided between NHS and Private practice. Mr Fahmy’s NHS practice is at the Countess of Chester hospital in Chester, Cheshire and the Maelor hospital in Wrexham, North Wales. His private practice is conducted at the Grosvenor Nuffield Hospital, Chester and Spire Yale Hospital, Wrexham, North Wales. It covers Shropshire, Cheshire, North Wales and Mid Wales.
Mr Fahmy is an experienced fully accredited consultant in Plastic and Cosmetic surgery. He is a full member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (BAPRAS), UK Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (UKAAPS), International Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (IPRAS), the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH) and former member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS) and the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS).
Mr Fahmy is included in the specialist register established by the GMC in 1995. Mr Fahmy is an examiner of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and Edinburgh. He was a former member of the Specialty Advisory Committee (SAC) for training in Plastic Surgery from 2007- 2009.
Mr Fahmy has numerous publications in the medical literature of Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery and presented his work in National, European and International conferences. In the private sector, Mr Fahmy offers the full range of cosmetic procedures with a particular interest on cosmetic breast surgery (breast enlargement, breast reduction & breast uplift). He described his own technique in breast reduction that is adopted by many surgeons now. His breast reduction technique was published in the Plastic Reconstructive Surgery American journal as well as constituting a chapter in an International Cosmetic Surgery book on Breast Surgery, published in 2009.
Mr Fahmy is also the author of 2 Chapters on tummy tuck and breast reduction for an International book on Cosmetic Surgery, "Atlas of Cosmetic Surgery: Art and techniques", to be published in 2012.
