Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers plump the skin to reduce wrinkles, folds and depressions. The material is introduced by injection and, based on the type of dermal filler used, results last on average for anywhere between six months to two years. Permanent and semi-permanent dermal fillers last even longer, sometimes up to five years, and some patients even report results that exceed these timescales.
Dermal fillers can be used in many situations:
Increasing volume around nasolabial folds and laughter lines to smooth wrinkles from the nose to the mouth
Adding plumpness to thinner lips and reducing the appearance of lines around their edges
Enhancing cheek shape to create a fuller, more youthful appearance
Reducing depressions and hollows underneath the eyes
Plumping out scarred tissue and indentations caused by acne or chickenpox to even out the surrounding skin
Filling out the volume around the lower cheeks and the temple to reduce gaunt appearances.
